Huge fan and have had it several times now! Very much enjoyed the crust on these. Love that you can choose the size of your pizza slice. Also have had carry out with the option of getting the more traditional "full tray." I'm a plain cheese pizza kinda person and it was tasty. Sampled some of the vegetarian options that my family got and all were really good. The gelato will also have me coming back... chocolate hazelnut was perfection. Location is excellent near the theatre. Slightly crowded on a Saturday evening but managed to get a table without a wait. Ordered directly from the counter and just took a few minutes for them to heat up the slice so certainly works as a fast casual option. Excited that a new one is opening in the fashion district. If you've ever been to Italy, then you would really appreciate a genuine Italian bistro! If you haven't, don't fret because Alice Pizza will remind you of the cluttered streets in Venice it has everything, amazing pizza which can be customized to your liking, pastas, coffee, Italian pastries and espresso. We went on a Sunday afternoon and chose to sit and dine ( you can just get pizza slices to go). We were promptly served with cold waters and menus, they do have a revolving specials menu. We tried the cacio- e-pepe gnocchi, it was fresh and quiet delectable! They also have a full bar! Can't wait to go back and get an Aperol Spritz! More...

This place truly hit the spot! I was craving comforting decadent Italian food and Alice delivered. We ordered the fried gnocchi in white sauce special (holy mouthwatering heaven). My friend ordered the cacio e Pepe pizza -- I usually avoid white pizzas bc they're dry/bland, but this was so saucy and cheesy and yum!! On a weeknight there was a friendly neighborhood buzz. I got yelled at by my Italian co-worker who told me it's pronounced AH Leech CHE not Alice. Ohhhhhh.Pre-theater dining experience during the weekday. Got lucky and snagged a table and though it was one server taking care of a bunch of customers, he did a pretty good job. Warning - those personal pan pizzas at $14 or so are actually made for 2 people to share. I went for the cheesy mushroom option and it was delicious. And I'm a huuuuuuge fan of cheese - they were pretty generous with the cheese, so maybe next time I'd actually ask for a little less cheese. They come out in a big square sizzling hot pan.  I could only finish half, and since I was going to the theater, I couldn't really bring in the leftovers into the Academy.Seats were a little cramped, people were loud, but everyone was in a good mood. I was so pleasantly surprised when I first tried the pizza here. I feel like most specialty pizza places have that typical thinner, softer crust that sort of flaps when you pull it off the tray. Don't get me wrong, I've never met a pizza I didn't like, but I'm more a fan of the Pizza Hut pan pizza-style crust--thick and bready, buttery, crunchy, chewy, AMAZING. Alice's pizza is more like that, and I'm here for it. They also have gelato up front so you can get dinner and dessert all in one. DEF worth a visit if you're looking for a change up from your regular zza joint! More...

Pizza was amazing! There were three of us and we all ordered something different to share. I preferred the simple margherita. .it was my favorite... adding the spicy oil was a great idea! The server definitely could've been nicer. He wasn't not nice, he just seemed to be annoyed. But he treated everyone the same 'annoying' way so....there's that. (Suggestion: if you don't like your job...you're not a tree... leave!). The drinks are a bit expensive and the wine pour seemed small. Spot is cozy (in the seated area), love the window seats. Have to go back for the dessert (which we heard was amazing). More...

If you're ever craving super crispy pizza and want the liberty to decide exactly how many slices you want, Alice is the place to be. I first found about this place when I traveled to Rome. It's so cool to have one in Philly. Their specialty is Roman pizza, baked in squares and cut into pieces with scissors on demand. You tell them how big of a slice you're in the mood for and they cut it, stick it into the oven and serve it to you, They have a huge variety of pizzas, as well as a pretty stacked bakery/gelato bar. I've only ever been here for pizza, but it's always hit the spot. My favorite pizza is the one with sausage and mushrooms. The crust on every piece is so crunchy and amazing. More...

Very impressed with just my one visit. Their coffee is very good, and you might not think of this as a place to go just for the coffee. It's perfect just to grab a pre-concert coffee, given proximity to the Academy of Music and Kimmel Center. We share a "Philly special" and the zucchini Burrata...they were both very good. We also split an arugula salad which was very good but the dressing was a little bit too sweet for our taste. My little slice of Italy in CC. Reminds me of the pizza in Italy where you get fresh, interesting slices by the kilo. We started going to the pizza counter where my faves are the zucchini with ricotta and the mushroom in cream sauce. The pizza is airy and tender with a crips bottom, perfect. Eventually we wandered to the other side, the cafe where you can get amazing pasta and the best chicken piccata. Add a $25 carafe of wine and the tri calore salad(which I'll never not get) and you're in for a great meal. This place is amazing. I live in the Bay Area, which is one of the best places on Earth to love eating, so I rarely find myself wishing I "could find something like this back home. " But dammit, Alice, you've got me dreaming about Philly. Alice Pizza offers a slew of thin, toppings-forward pizzas that you purchase by the ounce (so if you're dazzled by the selection and can't choose, you can talk yourself into buying an inch of several!). I got an eggplant, a Philly special, and a spicy tomato. All were delicious, and I was both satisfied and pretty full for under $7. They offer a wide selection of gelato also.
