Alexis did an amazing job with our daughter's newborn photos, which she did on her eighth day of life!She was so easy to work with from start to finish. She fit us into her schedule during the busy holiday time (December) and got us the edited images very quickly!She was awesome with the baby and clearly has a lot of experience photographing little ones. She was very sensitive to the challenges of the newborn period/early motherhood; she was so patient and accommodating. It was so great that she was able to complete the session in our home. I probably would have skipped newborn photos altogether if not for this.Thank goodness we didn't, as our photos were incredible and are priceless to us.  We have used the photos for our birth announcement and have received great feedback. I did quite a bit of research before booking Alexis for a mini maternity session and a full newborn shoot. It was really important to us that we find a photographer who takes natural, timeless photos, and so far, we're more than happy! We got more photos than promised from our mini maternity session, and Alexis had them ready for viewing very quickly as well. Her packages are reasonable and include some prints. I found Alexis on yelp. Based on her reviews I narrowed it down to her and a couple other photographers that specialize in newborns. What set her a part is that she came to our house 3 days postpartum and she brought all of her own props for us to use and pick from. This was amazing! When you are just acclimating to a newborn, leaving the house seems like mission impossible.She was friendly, easy going, and in my opinion a baby whisperer. She took her time to get the best shots she could. We love the style with the natural lighting and will cherish these photos for forever.Book in advance! Alexis photographed our little girl at less than a week old and was amazing! I was a little late in booking newborn photos but Alexis was able to fit us in somewhat last minute. She was very patient and sweet with our tiny baby.  It definitely shows in the images -- which turned out beautifully! I especially loved that she came to our home and brought all her own props.  As new parents, this made the whole process much easier than we anticipated.  We would highly recommend her and plan on using her in the future! Alexis did our newborn photography as well as took pictures of our family, including our other son.  She is also a mommy and this was evident in the way she was so gentle and soothing with our newborn.  She takes her time and has incredible patience.  We have a 17 month old son who is going through the "throwing everything" phase.  He loved Alexis' fabrics and blankets, and she didn't flinch or make me feel bad for him "not cooperating."  In the end, she got some beautiful shots of him with our 5 day old newborn.  The photography was done at our home which was very comfortable for all of us.  Her style is natural and easygoing and we loved it! Alexis is amazing! A few months before our daughter was born we were looking into different photographers to take newborn photos and I was lucky enough to have received a recommendation to reach out to her. We couldn't be happier with the decision to book a photo shoot with Alexis. She was incredible throughout the whole process. She's personable, professional, and was an absolute pleasure before, during and after the shoot.My wife and I were blown away by the images she sent us from the shoot. The quality and artistry were well beyond what we expected. We initially just wanted pictures of our daughter, but Alexis convinced us to throw some lifestyle pictures into the mix showing my me,  wife, and our Golden Retriever along with our daughter. I'm so glad we listed to her recommendations as these became some of my absolute favorite images! We love love our newborn pictures taken by Alexis!!  We had planned to shoot at her home studio but after some complications from my c-section she said it would not be a problem at all to take the pictures at our home. She hauled all her equipment and props over to our house. She provided all the wraps and headbands. So don't buy anything for your little one. Alexis is extremely professional and was very attentive with our newborn. She knew the tricks on how to soothe our little one. Her organic and natural style photographer is impeccable. I found Alexis on Yelp when I was searching for a photographer for my maternity shoot. I read all of the good reviews and saw some of her work and sent her an inquiry. She responded the same day and answered all of my questions, no problem. I wanted to have my shoot done as soon as possible so I could have my pictures in my house before my upcoming baby shower. She was able to see me within two weeks! Within that two weeks, we communicated via email with questions and ideas. She didn't seem bothered by the amount of questions I had. :)One of the main things I was looking for was someone who had enough patience to deal with my 2 year old son and she was great. He was obviously distracted by the beach (where we had our shoot) but she still managed to get some great shots with him! We chose PB to do our shoot and it was cold, with a marine layer. But she was able to get some BEAUTIFULLY shots out of that. I was really impressed I got my digitals in less than two weeks; I was so happy! We have a big family with kids ranging from 1-16 so we aren't exactly the easiest family to photograph. Then add in the fact that I get an idea in my head of how I want everything to look. So to say the least, my hopes are high when it comes to family photos. Alexis not only met, but exceeded my hopes and expectations and we LOVED our family session with her! She took so much time to get every possible shot and combination of kids/parents and snapped away until it was literally dark outside. She was patient, creative, listened to what we wanted, knew how to get our kids to smile even when we couldn't.... She was extremely patient with our one year old who WOULD NOT sit still - I felt that she was truly dedicated to trying whatever necessary to get some great shots for us, even if that meant dancing around and luring his attention with her own props and toys. Overall: Alexis is amazing, professional, and artistic. Her photography is one of the best in the San Diego County I've seen and working with her was an absolute pleasure. We purchased the maternity & newborn set. Aside from the talent she possesses in photography (you'll see how great her photography is by looking at her website... it speaks for itself), there are other factors that made working with her so wonderful. The pricing was straight-forward and fair. You'll see that other photographers initially charge for the session, and they will gain their profits by charging you ridiculous amounts for prints and digital copies. With Alexis, our package included the digital rights to all of them and a few prints (of course, there is the option to get more prints/photobooks). Another factor I enjoyed was the communication aspect of it. She promptly responded to all business inquiries, but more importantly, she really listened to what I wanted. This is what made me feel like this was more than getting together for standard pictures -- it was personalized to both me and my husband's preferences. She's also fast. Everything was done so quickly, which isn't always a good thing, but when it comes with the quality of work she provides -- it's incredible how fast she gets her work back to you. Above all else, her personality. She's sweet and caring. Our newborn was so cranky the day of his newborn pictures. She was so great with him and had so much patience. "Just do it!" -I think of that Nike motto when I think about Alexis Stoniea photography because it is absolutely WORTH it. I'm reminded how photography is a true art form when we browse through photography at an art museum or at an exhibition but when someone that you love more than words is the subject of that photography - there is NOTHING like it! I was so touched during the session that I found tears of joy streaming down my face. I felt so blessed, happy, and overjoyed and realized that our baby was going to grow so fast and how glad I was that my husband and I chose Alexis to capture these moments. I feel so fortunate that we were referred to Alexis -everything worked out perfectly. We felt connected with her from the first interaction. Alexis could not have been more professional.  My wife and I enjoyed watching Alexis lovingly place our daughter in the most precious poses.  We could not be happier with the final pictures.  Her work says enough for the talent that she has, but what it doesn't portray is her work ethic and professionalism.  She is responsive, on time, delivers what she promises and her communication with us as parents/clients was what makes her unique and stand out WAY above other baby photographers.  While Alexis was shooting our daughters baby photos, I was thrilled to look through her books.  Not only does she shoot babies well...she also is an amazing engagement, maternity and family photographer.  Her prices are unbelievable.  We received baby announcements from her as well...and her talent goes beyond the lens... her Photoshop skills are amazing.  Can not wait to do family photos with her once our daughter is a little older.  Thanks for everything, Alexis! Alexis is awesome!!! My wife and I were fairly unprepared for the early arrival of our first child, so along with all the million of things on our minds -- pictures were not among them. When we finally decided that this was actually something we really wanted, we felt like we were quickly turning the bend (our girl was past 3 weeks old) with regards to "newborn" photos (we learned that many photographers had encouraged early planning and having shoots scheduled inside the first 10 days!) When we found Alexis, she was so encouraging, so flexible and accommodating to our situation. She felt we could still do a mix of newborn and family lifestyle pics and just see where the session goes. Well, the session went fabulously and she is a total pro!!! Since our session was in the morning to take advantage of the best lighting, our girl was not at her sleepiest at this time, but Alexis was so patient and flexible we caught a number of awake shots with the family and eventually eased into more of the solo shots once she got sleepy. She's an experienced mom with two young ones of her own and she just knew how to work with our lil' one to get the most from her. The pics are simply amazing and we are so happy to have gotten them! Alexis is AMAZING!! I still can't believe how many beautiful images she was able to capture. The day of our session, my 2 year old had a melt down. I was disappointed and was sure the session had been a complete failure. Alexis was extremely prompt in sending me all the proofs, and to my surprise, the pictures were amazing. I had been hoping for at least one good photo to frame, but Alexis took so many great photos I decided to order a photo book.We met Alexis the day of our session and we immediately fell in love with her.
