Photographer/Designer of visual communications
I obtained a degree in Fine Arts with Emphasis in Photography at SDCC (San Diego, California) in the class of renowned American photographer and professor Annette Fournet. During my studies, I learned to use all camera formats, perfected analogue black and white photography, experimenting with various techniques of developing, toning and post-processing, manually retouching black and white and color photographs and film, digital image processing, selecting and setting the correct and appropriate lighting, graphic preparation of photographs for digital print, digital output creating ICC profiles, the importance of composition and frame, editing of collections, gallery equipment of photographs (cutout of passports, framing, lighting) and above all the importance of cultivating my own style. I graduated in the highest rank in June of 2006.
My photographs have been used for commercial purposes, including the 5th Liburnia Jazz Festival; announcements for Indigo House Clubbing from Rijeka; posters and catalogs for Martin by Despot Carpets, studio and ambient photographs of furniture and small usable items for the webshop, for famous designer from Rijeka, Svetlana Despot; promotional studio and ambient photography for the Zagreb Acting Studio (CD covers, posters and announcements); the Festival Opatija for which I photographed a number of theater plays and concerts. From the beginning, I was the official photographer for the Festival of Independent Theaters in Opatija (FEN), I work closely with the Festival Opatija photographing theater performances, concerts, and other cultural events, as well as MMSU Rijeka (Museum of modern and contemporary arts), which often hired me document exhibits as well as the official opening of exhibitions, conceptual projects, and performances by engaged artists. In addition to working with all segments of photography, I designed entire visual concepts for several books and pamphlets.
Since 2004 I was actively exhibiting in solo and group exhibitions in the USA, Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia. I am also an active member of the Croatian Association of Artists since 2009.
