I've worked and studied in the Countryside sector since 2004 at Merrist wood College, Buckinghamshire County Council, Chiltern Open Air Museum, Self employment, Reaseheath College and Chester University. During this time I have been involved in forestry work for timber purposes, conservation projects and habitat/land improvements. I have NPTC's CS30 and 31, my own chainsaw, PPE and Public liability insurance.
Buckinghamshire County Council

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide Visitor Services • Regularly and routinely patrol the Country Parks • Deal with visitors with enquiries or problems and help with first-aid incidents and other emergencies • Implement the Bucks Country Parks Enforcement Policy • Lead and deliver Bucks Country Parks events and activities 2. Maintain Sites and Facilities • Clear litter and ensure litter bins are regularly emptied and maintained for use • Clean toilets and other visitor facilities, rectifying minor problems and reporting on condition as appropriate • Carry out play area inspections and routine maintenance of the play area facility • Monitor the condition and quality of signage ensuring information is up to date, correct and well presented • Undertake other duties as appropriate to ensure good site presentation and visitor facilities maintenance • Open and close barriers, gates and doors, unlocking and securing buildings or facilities, including the Country Parks car parks, as required. 3. Maintain and Operate Car Parks • Ensure that car parks are well presented and clear of litter, and that all bins are regularly emptied • Collect, record and process the takings from the pay and display machines in accordance with safety and audit procedures • Ensure pay and display machines remain operational by rectifying minor faults and arranging repair when necessary • Carry out the enforcement of the Off Street Parking Order 4. Other Duties and Requirements • Assist with monitoring contractors, film crews and other commercial customers • Keep records as required • Contribute to a staffing roster which includes weekends, bank holidays and seasonally extended hours 5. Be aware of the Council’s aims, organisational values and behaviours and their impact on this post. 6. Participate in the Council’s performance management processes. 7. Carry out the duties of the post in accordance with the Council’s diversity policy.
Chiltern Open Air Museum
From 2008 to 2013.
Volunteered working with the Farm and Estate Managers team. This would consist of livestock work, habitat management, estate maintenance and events. As a contractor I lead training days teaching greenwood crafts, forestry work removing trees for habitat improvement and created a rustic split pale fence in keeping with the historic buildings.
