Awesome experience!  From My first call gathering information to me walking out after a Comfortable, Professional, Fun, Experience.  I was extremely nervous about the whole ordeal, as i'm not one that enjoys getting my photo taken.  This has changed.... a little, due to Carmen and Al! They are so friendly, and made me feel so at ease, that the session flew by!  Al is very creative, and working with him I just trusted his eye and direction.  I showed up with choices, lots, from scarves, belts, jewelry, touch up makeup, different colored underpinnings,  depending on which color top, bottom was recommended. So being prepared, definitely helps.What helps even more is Carmen, she knew instantly which outfit would work, and recommended things i had not even thought of.  They are a True Team and their ideas bounce off one another that make the experience even more comfortable and fun!I would definitely return and recommend anyone looking for Professional Photographer to hire Al and Carmen.  P.S. Not quite sure if people use "underpinnings" any more! Lingerie, as in panties and bras!Some people may choose to use Spanx, heck i don't know !  What a pleasure meeting such a Great Team!  Thanks for an awesome experience! More...

Al is simply amazing!!! I have been following him on Facebook for several years - always in awe of his ability to really capture a moment. Where to start. So if you are like me and get nervous when it comes to having your pictures taken let me tell you that there is no better place (even if you are not like me) to go. From setting up the appointment to receiving the finished product it was an absolutely pleasant and enjoyable experience. AL is such a master with the camera and you can see and hear his passion for his craft as you work with him. I absolutely love Al and Carmen. Hands down they take the best pics (I've only done the studio ones, for wedding portraits and then family shots) and I swear by them. They are in a very unassuming strip center over by Pappasitos by Hillcroft and Richmond, but don't be deceived by that. My fave shots were the ones on concrete with the back garage door open (any photographer knows that's the lighting that makes you look your bestest!) These guys know what they're doing and I do believe they are quite reasonable. You can walk away with TONS of shots for reasonable cost and the prints are high quality. Highly, highly recommend! Al's use of the lens to capture life images you would never think possible is stunning... simply stated yet true. Pictures Al and Carmen have tastefully displayed in their studio and on their web site are a testament to his skill and artistry as a photographer, which are unsurpassed and superb. Look for yourself. He is truly the best photographer I have ever known and I do not say that lightly. I am a Naval Officer and I have traveled the world many times over in my 29 years of service. I have seen and been with many great photographers in my career, including the wonderful men and women of the combat photo teams and naval Information offices. Never have I seen the talent to which Al applies in his shoots and photos. He is genuinely caring, calming, professional, and exacting. His ability to pin point the perfect angle, light and posture to produce outstanding pictures are amazing, even on the fly in natural settings! The story of my exposure to Al?s true gifts is unforgettable. I came to Houston to receive treatment for my daughter at Texas Children's Hospital. My daughter unfortunately passed away there. My family and I had been staying in a nearby apartment and we decided to get a photo shoot done with our daughter before she went in to the hospital. Carmen and Al immediately put us at ease the minute we walked in. When we saw the proofs prior to her passing, we were floored. Al's use of available lighting in his studio and spectacular colors through flash filters captured our souls. My daughters eyes were so vivid and life like we can still almost touch her right through the image. Her main headshot was framed and placed at the head of her bed while she was in the ICU. Every doctor and nurse who attended to her was struck by the photo and the way she seemed to be watching them. I've been modeling since I was 10 years old. Most of the photos I use to represent myself (portfolio, comp cards, etc) are from Al's shoots. Even the one I put on myspace for my fam & friends. Not only does Al know how to bring out the very best of you--he does it in a way that still looks like the real you! It couldn't be any better! I'm always referring friends and strangers to Al.
