I came here 20 years ago and hadn't had the opportunity to come back since last week. I came to eat at Al Duomo on Saturday afternoon with my wife and kids. We ordered starters, mains and pudding, which was all delicious, especially the pizza. There was a very nice Christmas ambience in the restaurant which made our experience very pleasant and cosy. We were both impressed by the friendly staff, mainly the young American waitress who seated us and took our orders. The waitress was very kind, cordial and helpful, as well as extremely patient and professional and was always quick to come to our service and check-in if we were ok despite being very busy and dealing with many other tables. We felt very well looked after. The tiramisu is a 10/10. Very happy to see that the restaurant is just as good, if not better than I remembered 20 years ago. Recommended for food and staff. More...

I recently organised my wifes 40th Birthday Party, and after recommendation from a friend, booked it with Al Duomo - their Basement Room. I have to say, I was extremely impressed in dealing with Al Duomo, from their replies to my (near constant) questions and requests - replies which were always very polite and near-instant, to being looked after on the night. Nothing was too much trouble for Alberto, Carlo and the rest of the team at Al Duomo. The team really made us feel welcome, and looked after, and were instrumental to the smooth running of the evening. The basement room itself was great for the party too - we had around 85 attending and the room lends itself really well to a party of this size, including a band, DJ and dancing. And all for a very reasonable price - I highly recommend Al Duomo if you have a function to organise! More...

we came to al duomo for a work away day and had a really lovely time. The staff is incredibly welcoming and treated us really well. We had our wedding reception and party at Al Duomo, and were delighted by how well the evening went. Alberto helped make sure we had everything well planned, guided us on food and drink choices (including accommodating a coeliac) and delivered a tasty, authentic Italian buffet with great service too. Wow!! Great food, great service. There were 42 in our group (half of them native Italians!) and everyone complemented on both. I hope one day to visit Al Duomo again, under more relaxed circumstances although, the team were super helpful and took a lot of my stress and worry away on the night my group was there. Was in town for work and was looking for an authentic Italian pizza, well you can find it here. The pizza dough was so tasty and fluffy, the sauce was perfect, the topping was a little less than expected but the flavors made up for it. The dessert I had was the homemade tiramisu, again filled with flavor and just the right amount of liquor and cacao, no remarks as everything was perfect.The service which is the last point was also spot on, the guy who was at the door (I think the owner) was really friendly and also the other personal was very friendly, the guys behind the bar were real Italians as I could hear them speaking Italian together all the time, overall great experience and will definitely visit this place again! We held the party for my wife's 50th at Al Duomo, it had to be special and Alberto and his team really went the extra mile to make sure things went smoothly. So refreshing to find people who really care about their job and are willing and open to help with requests that are out of the ordinary. Everyone had a fantastic time, there was lots of dancing and the food and 50th birthday cake were absolutely perfect.A big thanks to Alberto personally for all the good natured help and assistance you gave me in the build up to the event, I bit off a bit more than I could chew and you made it much easier by being very open to my requests. THANK YOU.Also, the staff on the night were excellent, very friendly and helpful and they made everything happen all at the right times. We came on Sunday bank holiday for dinner and the place was pack but they still manage to sit us outside .Food and service was very good despite how busy they were. We also had entertainment that night , some very rude family start fighting with the staff and we were very surprised how calm they reacted to that .The manager stood between them and the other customers and calmly push them out .
