Roofing Installation or Replacement
I had a quotation from this company , he was almost twice as expensive as other companies so didn't use him . Nice chap but only 1 star , sorry .

AK Roofing did a great job of our roof. Andy was really thinking the job through when he popped round to give a quote for a new roof, he is a top bloke who knows his stuff and was super responsive at answering all our questions on the different types of tiles and repairs we needed. The quote was very competitive and the scaffolding went up before we even paid the deposit, they started work a couple of days later. It took about 5 days over about 2 weeks to complete and Andy and his team worked really hard, they barely stopped all day while they were here. Andy communicated really well and they were always punctual, starting before 8:30 even though they traveled from Torquay to Plymouth each day. They removed the old (Asbestos) roof materials and left the place tidy when the job was done.Our place is a 3 bedroom house with a tenement, we had a leak and there was a load of rotten wood in the gully the between the two. He repaired the gully, the tenement cowl and fixed our main chimney where the cowls were moving around in the wind causing some bad damage.For the replacement roof we went with natural slate because after we did our research we realised that the cheap option of man made slate is not eco friendly at all, so we swallowed the extra cost to have a more durable roof that looks amazing, it has a nice organic look compared to the man made slate.I would definitely recommend AK Roofing.Thanks to Andy and his hard working team! :) More...

Andy & his team of merry men were terrific . They quoted, turned up on time, did a great job & stuck to their price. Ours was a big and tricky slating job using all reclaimed, French slate. He even gave us a hand with scaffolding & guttering. Andy did a really good job of our dormer flat roof replacement. He was punctual, kept me informed of what was going on and did as he said he would. The price was fair for the amount of work done and he showed me every phase of the work on photos afterwards. I'm happy to recommend him on my experience. The only downside is that the skip has not been removed yet, more than 2 weeks after the work completed. Although this is not really in AK Roofing's control, the skip was ordered by them and I'd hoped it would be sorted by now. As a roofing job though, totally happy! Thanks Andy More...
