Wonderful experience from start to finish! I have heard great things about Akada for years and was able to see Tammy today. I had a picture of what I had in mind and she took the reins and gave me the style I have been wanting for so long with ease! Tammy is a master of her craft with precision cutting, awesome blowout and exudes confidence which put me at ease-No guesswork, endless scrolling through Pinterest, she is incredible. Gave me great styling tips and versatility with my cut which I need while being a busy Mom and fitness Instructor. Usually I leave and have to come home to “do” my hair all over agin, not today! I found Akada from Expertise on the web to find the best local experts. Akada was on the list, I went to their Instagram and saw there work. All the stylists were so talented, for what I wanted in a cut I wanted to see Tabby. My husband said out of all the haircuts I have had she has been his favorite! Aryn at Akada gave me the best cut I have ever had - and on my first visit! I have thick hair and no one has ever known how to work with it. Aryn did. I even got compliments at work on my haircut which never happens. I do not live close but will gladly travel the distance because only Aryn will style my hair from now on. I’ve been looking for a good hair salon after my usual stylist moved away. I’m fearful of change and I’m picky when it comes to my hair. But with high recommendations I heard that Tabby from Akada was fantastic. So I decided to give her a try. I was impressed with the salon as soon as I walked in. The staff that greeted me was so friendly, the environment was clean and I was made to feel comfortable. Tabby is fantastic, such a sweet lady and is very talented. They value continued education for their staff and the new employees are trained well before being allowed to cut or color a customer’s hair (I know this because I asked a lot of questions), I really loved my cut and color, it looked perfect to me. After a few days of washing and styling my hair myself I noticed a few places that were bugging me because I couldn’t blow dry it just like Tabby did so it laid differently (I told you I was a little picky) . I called the salon and they got me right back in and Tabby cut a few places a little differently, at no cost to me. Now when I blow dry my hair it lays just right! I had gotten a terrible haircut at another saloon and came to Akada for help. The stylist I had was very knowledgeable and gave me suggestions and advise on what I should do and what would look best for my particular face shape. She spent a lot of time after the cut explaining how to style my hair once I was on my own since I told her I was not good with hair. I loved the cut and the styling products that were used on my hair made it feel good and not stiff and plastic like so many do. I first made an appointment at Akada because I needed someone new to cut my hair. I wanted a fresh set of eyes to look at my face and hair and help me decide on my next cut/color. Amanda was and is amazing. She takes time to listen to you and looks at you as if its the first time she has seen you. She cuts amazing hair....goes back into it after drying to make sure there are no "heavy" spots. Her color for me is perfect as I asked for a natural looking brown and she nailed it....still does. All the stylists and assistants give the best hair wash and head massage ever...I joke that I'd like to make an appointment for that alone.
