I joined AK Health & Fitness/Folkestone Boot Camps in September 2022, hoping to shift some post-baby weight and to improve my physical and mental health. The early start is perfect for my daily routine, it’s a great way to get active and motivated in the morning before nursery drop-off. I can't recommend Andy highly enough. I did a two week one to one, holiday boot camp with him and was incredibly impressed. He took time to understand my ambitions and then carefully structured the workouts to address the areas I wanted to focus on. His approach is very holistic, taking into account work / life challenges etc. He is excellent at pushing you to challenge yourself but without the whole thing feeling too daunting. I'm over 50, overweight and out of shape, so when I first contacted Andy I wasn't even sure that I was a suitable client for Folkestone Bootcamps. I'd been considering it for a while having seen Andy at work on the Leas and checking out his Facebook posts. I needn't have worried. Andy was very welcoming and supportive from that first phone call. Eight weeks in and I still have a long way to go, but as Andy keeps reminding me, it's a marathon not a sprint. And it's definitely a lifestyle change. The combination of his healthy eating plan and exercise regime has created huge improvements. Since starting my 121 sessions with Andy I feel educated and confident to make sensible decisions with regards to eating the right foods. I feel motivated to exercise and have formed healthier habits. Overall in my weight loss journey I’ve lost 12kilos. Since using Andy, not once have I been hungry as I previously was. And I’ve lost 6kg of that 12kg since mid January. I’ve toned up, got fitter and feel more energetic and better. Andy is brilliant, very supportive and extremely experienced and knowledgeable. I have perhaps before felt a bit intimidated by the thought of a personal trainer in the past, but my fears were wiped away in the very first session, and I feel as if I owe him a great deal as thanks to his training and positivity I feel confident again! Andy has tailored my sessions to get harder and harder as I get fitter. I really enjoy my sessions and the progression of my fitness journey. Andy King's workouts are very succinct and professional routines designed to get all over body conditioning and strengthening and sucessfull long term weight loss from his clever easy to follow food plan the sessions are varied and fun and he is the most supportive no nonsense coach cant recommend enough !!! I've been attending Folkestone Boot Camps three times a week for 5 months now and it has been hands down the most sustainable, enjoyable and rewarding fitness venture I've tried. Andy makes each session varied and challenging enough to keep you making progress but also keep you motivated. He knows what you need, even if it isn't what you want sometimes! He happily adjusts for individual needs based on your ability and those days when your joints and muscles are just not at their best. I have always suffered with knee pain and was concerned at the start about whether I would be able to manage exercises that would add impact to them but Andy's workouts have helped me strengthen the muscle in my legs and my knees now feel much more supported and less painful. The best selling points for me were being outdoors, the personalised focus, free taster sessions and being in a supportive and incredibly friendly group. Getting a free resistence band was an added bonus! In five months with Andy, I've lost a stone and a half, 10 inches around my body, I have better eating habits, feel stronger, increased energy and generally feel happier and more confident. More...

Andy is really welcoming and supportive. It's just the best thing, to be outside overlooking the sea, with fresh air and space, on grass. It's all ages too - I'm 73 - and if I couldn't do an excercise (I had a knee replacement), Andy would find an alternative. I’ve been a client for a while. First and foremost Andy is a great human, way more than just a trainer. Andy is very chilled and just the kind of person you can spend 30-45 mins with early in the morning getting your sweat on. You might think you’re fit, pushing yourself. My view is commit to a programme like Andy’s and you’ll do more than you’ll ever push yourself to do on your own. Personally I love the fact Andy offers outside classes all year round. Can be tough in deep winter but Andy has found some secret sheltered spots. For me this works, I hate gyms and being up close when working out. I have been training with Andy now since October. Been lovin every minute of it mainly because it's all outside in the fresh air. The classes are fun and varied so different each time which makes its interesting. The only thing I haven't gained is weight, oh yeah I've managed to lose 12lbs. NO faddy diets just a good balanced diet and exercise is all you need and stick at it. I'm ready for summer. Also to add during this worrying time Andy is making sure we are all safe, 're keeping a safe distance from each other and sticking to our own equipment for the time being. Doing workouts outside is so much better and healthier than being couped up indoors. Also the government are encouraging people to stay active as much as possible. Thank you Andy Jenny More...

Joined in September and have made it through the winter. Really pleased as have lost half a stone.
All down to eating healthy and regular exercise. This is due to Andy's help and encouragement. He is very passionate about his job. Lots of useful tips and advise.
Would definately recommend. Nice small classes, not like a gym.
If reading this give it a try as Andy always has offers on and normally you get three free classes to start so you've got nothing to lose.

Amazing everytime. It's varied and fun but yet hard work. Andy is extremely good at pushing you that little bit further but also very good at keeping you motivated. There's a lot of emphasis on diet and eating habits. The 21 day plan works wonders and is a good kickstart to create healthier habits. I've been with AK now for about 6wks now and already feeling the benefits. I go twice a wk.
What i like about it is that he works with small groups. It's not like joining a gym and you feel like everyone is looking at you. The support is there by WhatsApp email fb and also you can just give Andy a ring. I'm just so glad I made the effort to contact Andy and discuss a fitness plan. I have been doing Bootcamps with Andy for around 18 months, primarily for weight loss. In this time I have lost whooping 4 1/2 stone in weight and gone from dress size 18 to 12! Not only that but my body is apparently now 7 years younger than I actually am
I have also completed a charity walk/run of 6 miles and was the first one home, something that would never have happened before
If you’re like me and don’t have the motivation to keep something like this going without having a mentor to keep up the moral, then you really can’t do better than Andy. He’s encouraging, motivational and full of good advice covering both fitness and nutrition. The group are brilliant as well, keeping each other going come rain or shine

Work hard! there is no secret, eat a good healthy balance of fruit and vegetables, together with plenty of protein, water, and add exercise to the package and you have a recipe for success! training needs to be intense for good results, although if you only want to improve your wellbeing or flexibility you dont have to go too mad!

Getting someone who never really liked any sort of training. but realized that to improve their wellbeing and longevity, they would have to find something they liked and helping them do that, then starting to see that person enjoying, and feeling much better about themselves, realizing the amazing effect of being healthy and training regularly, once you go there.....you don't come back!
