This is the best sushi I have ever had! My friend and I sat at the bar and ordered miso soup, several rolls, and the special. Everything was fresh and delicious the miso soup was by far the best in all of Jaskson and Josephine county. The staff was friendly and helpful in picking out the best rolls for our preferences. Ate here with a friend for lunch and wasn't disappointed!We started with a nice pot of hot green tea. Our server was wonderful. I ordered the California roll with chef's choice toppings--a lot like a rainbow roll but much more beautifully presented. My friend had a lunch special of salmon, rice and veggies and she commented how beautiful and moist the salmon was.Easy parking, which is a huge plus for me!We also ordered tempura to share, which is the only reason I'm not giving Ahi five stars. The veggies were fresh and the portion was huge, but the breading was too heavy for my taste.Nonetheless, I'll be returning. LOTS of other choices besides tempura. : ) More...

We had a great time last night at Ahi Sushi &Sake Bar!! We made reservations for 10 people, and when we arrived, our table was all ready with water and place settings for all! We were greeted by our AMAZING waitress De Leon! She had a great personality, good recommendations, and gave constant service all night! Tip well, we did!!! The food....awesome!!!! I was really upset when Umi sushi moved out of GP, they had a fun staff and my favorite roll, the Reno. I avoided going to the “new sushi place” that took their location for a long time, thinking it was just going to be a low quality cash grab selling inferior fish to suckers who heard good things about the “sushi place by the bridge”. That was a mistake. Ahi Sushi is incredible. The vibe is sophisticated and welcoming, our server Deleon immediately made us feel comfortable and suggested we try their scallop and quail egg shooters, which were amazing. The chefs made conversation with us while we ate and best of all, I found a roll I enjoyed even more than the Reno. Glen and the 808 boys make this spot a 10/10. Couldn't find better fish, friends, or customer service anywhere on the west coast. I've been eating sushi since I was in diapers and I will always consider ahi as my #1 spot to go to for any family, business, or social event. They never seize to amaze us. It's well worth the prices, me and my boyfriend had two rolls each and miso soup and they gave us smoked salmon, but it was smoked to the point it looked weird and jerky like but let me tell you what, it was fantastic I've never had smoked salmon like that and it was the best thing I've had so far.

After trying a few other sushi places in GP, Ahi is definitely the best. Good food, large selection, friendly staff & attentive service. Have been here several times now & never disappointed. The fish is fresh, the rolls are yummy & the presentation is lovely. The only downside is this place gets packed. (Which just confirms they are a popular sushi joint for a reason!) Finding parking can be difficult & the wait can be quite long during peak dining times.However, unlike most traditional sushi restaurants they do not close between lunch & dinner, so, going early is your best bet for a less crowded experience.
