Our party of four was greeted by Marieanne who immediately msde us feel at home. .Showed us the "honesty" bar then our rooms. Beautifully appointed looking out over the manicured lawn down to the pool, The Orange River is one boundry . An aura of peace and tranquility.a full breakfast was available. At Africa River Lodge you can expect excellent service from Mariana and her team… amazing views of the river, and rooms and dining areas that are rich with persian carpets , stylish wood antiques and premium beddings and linen… each equipped with DSTV and Aircon. ||||The surroundings and gardens feel as if you are in an exotic eastern island resort, with an abundance of palm trees and ferns, with the contrast of the African bush on your doorstep, and a river that runs right in front of the swimming pool and the deck.||||Early mornings and at dusk, the garden fills with birdsong, and geese and hadedas returning home.||||In the dining area there are rich colours and stylish interior decorations from Africa plus a fireplace that makes you feel at home, with a bonus of a wall with travel books, poetry and other exciting finds.||||Definitely my new local favourite if you’re passing through to/from Namibia, or keen on relaxing next to the pool a few days. El lodge se encuentra junto al río Orange, hacia el que da la piscina y una terraza entarimada muy agradable para relajarse. ||Las habitaciones se disponen alrededor de un frondoso jardín. En éstas lo mejor es la cama, con unos colchones muy buenos. El mobiliario es bastante completo, aunque algo manido ya. Hace tiempo que dejó de aparentar ser nuevo. Abundancia de insectos, te dejan un insecticida para que no te aburras.||Lo peor los aseos, pequeños y muy básicos, al menos en las habitaciones en que estuve.||La zona común tiene mesas para el desayuno, excelente por cierto, y muy bien dispuesto, y una zona de sofás con biblioteca muy bien decorada con motivos africanos, muy agradable.
