Nova has been my main yoga teacher since around 2011, when I began to commit to a regular practice. I love her challenging, creative and heartfelt classes, always sprinkled with humor. So naturally I wanted to train with her when I felt ready to do the 200hr course. So far it has gone way beyond my expectations, and I feel we are all on a profoundly transformational journey. The intimacy of the small group, and Nova's style of nurturing means we have developed a cohesive community of support and friendship. Nova draws on her wide a rich knowledge to deliver a course that goes beyond many other 200hr courses, including in-depth philosophy, history, anatomy, and wonderful adjustments, all integrated through observed teaching practice with personal feedback. I particularly enjoy the freedom she encourages in each of us to develop our own style and specialisms. So grateful to be part of this group! More...

Had a great CPD day - lovely cosy venue love the Mum/Daughter combo. Aveyda is a fascinating subject and I know we were only able to scrape the surface of Nova's knowledge in the time we had - thank you

Nova is a truly teacher - intelligent, experienced and authentic - she speaks from the heart and draws on her wealth of experience on and off the matt to bring ideas to life. The CPD workshops I have done with her have been the perfect balance of informative and inspiring. More...

The day began with a challenging Ayurveda based yoga class, priming us nicely for our introduction to Ayurveda in general. After a wonderful lunch in a local Iranian restaurant, we explored how the princilples we were beginning to understand could be incorporated into a yoga practice. With lots of practical experience of cleansing techniques and even essential oil perfume making, a very relaxed informative, accessible and enjoyable experience. More...

Still on a high and feeling the benefits (physically and emotionally) of Nova's January Digital Detox yoga retreat at Brazier's Park in Oxfordshire! The retreat had it all - inspirational yoga practise, restorative meditation, welcoming and comfortable venue, beautiful surroundings and ambience, great food, and amazing people!!! Nova and her teaching are precious gems in the world of yoga! Thank you! More...

Whether you are looking to become a teacher or deepen your personal practice, I can't recommend Affinity's Teacher Training course highly enough. I had never trained with Nova before and found the course via Google. I liked the look of the course content and phoned Nova to discuss it further. In all my chats with potential teacher trainers, she was the only person who took a genuine interest in who I was and why I wanted to train. She was very honest and knowledgeable about the realities of the industry. The training itself has been quite transformational for me. We have covered a lot of exceptionally interesting material and I feel I now have a strong sense of what yoga truly is and how to apply it. Nova has always been on hand to answer questions or chat to. Her classes are some of the most fun, creative and challenging I have taken and the atmosphere in class is always warm, welcoming and non-judgemental. The retreat week was fantastic and although the workload sometimes felt heavy on top of work and other commitments, I always enjoyed doing it.I plan to continue taking classes with Affinity for my own personal development but I feel I am coming away from the training course with the tools, experience and confidence to begin my journey as a teacher. Nova and her teacher training course reminds me of poet Rumi when he said, "Be with those that help your being". Nova is an amazing teacher with the ability to inspire and transform through her soulful classes and heart-felt TTC. She has the incredible ability to know just when to be gentle and playful or serious and tough, to challenge you and deepen your practice. The course is well thought out, authentic, extensive and intensive. Learning both vinyasa and yin is a perfect and balanced combination as practitioner and teacher. And the week retreat away is a beautiful part of the training. Nova is both a teacher and a friend. I feel blessed to have studied under her... it's been life-changing. More...

I attended Nova's yoga weekend retreat in Feb 2014 and had a fantastic time - Nova really looked after us and the yoga was fantastic we did a dynamic yoga flow in mornings which was fantastic and Yin in the evenings which was equally amazing. Having done Yin for a few years I was surprised at all the new and innovative psotures we did. The flow class was hard but invigorating. There was also a few meditation sessions with Nova and her mum Florence which were great and the food was excellent. The whole weekend was excellent with an Ayurvedic session included where we made our own body oils and a lovely walk in the country. So nice to stay in a big house in the countryside and just immerse yourself in yoga and meeting nice people. Highly recommended. More...
