Having previously attended an AEC course at the old premises I was pleased to see that the new company offices had moved to the right side of Romsey Town to reduce my journey slightly from the north of the county. It is an easily accessible location on the edge of Romsey with plenty of free parking. The training room for my FREC3 course was a good size with plenty of room for PowerPoint presentations and practical skills sessions. Training props for a wide range of medical emergencies were on hand and used in role play activities. Excellent tuition from highly trained frontline paramedic Leo who has a wealth of knowledge with clear explanations of pre-hospital procedures. Role play scenarios and assessments included trauma and presentation of patients with symptoms of life threatening conditions, including the grand finale scenario in the car park. I won't give away the details! Our borrowed 'stooge' Jordan seemed afflicted by an untold number of life threatening ailments but managed to survive, although his polo shirt didn't survive Day Five. It pays to book directly with AEC Protection and not through a third party agency. There is plenty of room to enjoy lunch and tea breaks on site and it is recommended that packed lunches are taken. Completed the Top up Training Close Protection course, Nov 23. Enjoyed the training, Tom, Instructor well informed. Clean, modern training area and classrooms and canteen area. I would recommend this course to any ladies as I was the only lady on the course and was treated, respectfully by attendees and staff, in a relaxed and emphasised learning environment . A great experience but the exam day could have been better as the lap tops went down several times and I was there nearly 6 hours. I’m sure AEC will sort this out. The course professionally run and the instructor we had (Tom) was very experienced in the use of restraints with his back ground in the military ( this was evident to myself and another ex military person) I would strongly advise anybody looking at gaining the qualification of level 3 hard restraints to seriously consider using AEC for the course.

Really loved completing my first aid training Jordan made it really engaging and interesting almost informal, while making sure we were learning in a fun environment, Helen also was very supportive and insporational being an ex police officer I really like that the course was carried out by Jordan who was a paramedic, overall really enjoyed my day and really glad that I am now first aid trained , the day was successful and fun due to these staff!

The staff were very friendly, approachable and understanding of different learners needs. Devayani is very knowledgeable and realistic in regards as to what to expect in real situations when working as a door supervisor the only thing that held certain learners back was their attitude towards the course being suitable for their line of work however this is not a reflection on AEC as a training provider. The facilities provided were top notch and Hugo was definitely helping keep things interesting. What inspired you to start your own business?
Our Director Aidan is still serving in the British Armed Forces (Reserve) as a Royal Military Police Officer, a role he has undertaken for over 14 years. He has been part of multiple deployments to the operational theatre of Afghanistan as a subject matter expert in General Policing, Detention, Forensics, Biometrics & Operational Support Training & Mentoring to Foreign Military, Police & Government Units. He has also spent time on various attachments and overseas operations with the prestigious Royal Military Police Close Protection Unit.
Aidan combined his wealth of knowledge in both the U.K. Private Security Industry and the British Armed Forces, and in 2014 he set up AEC Protection; a well-established, professional, events & executive security company operating across the South of England. Aidan has extensive and diverse experience in private security operations, from providing protection for some of the most luxurious jewellery boutiques in central London to operating security within the largest licensed nightclub in the U.K.
Aidan has provided close protection to international cricket teams, overseen security deployments to national stadiums, managed security for large scale events and country shows, as well as highly secure remote projects.
Aidan is a qualified Trainer, Assessor & IQA for the delivery of SIA Security & First Aid Training, and he also holds membership as a Member of The Association of British Investigators. He is also qualified as a General-Purpose Security Dog Handler. Aidan is a well experienced, recognised and respected security expert within the industry.
