Maria Ngo was AWESOME!! I'm a college student filing my taxes for the first time myself and was recommended to her by my Mum. I had no idea what to expect or what I needed to do, but with Maria Ngo it was easy breezy! I rarely do this but decided to start reviewing and the crew at Advanta Tax have exceeded my expectations with helping me out with Hurricane Harvey losses which were very devastating. They amended my 2016, 15 and 14 taxes and have extra to roll forward for the next 20 years with my losses and I will now be getting a taxes money that was paid in. So I rarely review businesses, but after her help this last year - it's the least I can do.  KPMG did my taxes through my company for the last two years - and I ended up owing the IRS tons - which I couldn't understand and they couldn't explain to me. The big company didn't have time for just one guy.  After Maria reviewed what was filed - she found errors in their filing! You don't know what a relief it was to hear those words, and I'm sure others have also felt that relief.Maria doesn't take you for stupid.  She explains what you should do to lessen your tax burdens for the future, she takes an active interest in your financial well-being, and she is incredibly knowledgeable of the intricacies of the tax code.  I would recommend her ten times over to friends, families and businesses.Quite surprised with the one negative review on here, but I assume it's some of the fallout of a rapidly growing and successful business (that, mind you, has grown by referral only).  Communication with clients can be one of the growing pains with a business - some people will take it as the company "blowing them off" - and others are patient enough to understand.  It's understandable as most people are sensitive when it comes to their money.  With that said, I do have to say I experienced some miscommunication, but nothing that wasn't cleared up by a phone call and making an appointment.  In all honesty, I consider Maria one my most trusted advisors when it comes to my taxes - no question about it. Maria is absolutely amazing!  She does a wonderful job keeping her clients informed and at ease with complicated matters.  I am in a similar field as Maria and send business clients to her ! The reviews do not lie! This place is great. We had Maria fix a tax return that we did ourselves and messed up on, and have been stuck with her ever since. She definitely knows her stuff and is someone you can depend on. As much as I dread this kind of stuff, she makes the experience so comfortable and fun! I had such a great experience here! 1. As soon as I had requested a quote, I got a reply in less than 10mins. 2. I met Maria and since she had a few minutes she went ahead and say me down to look over my papers. She was so helpful and gave great advice after looking over my papers! 3. I went on this journey to help a friend get his affairs in order after we found out he was in Stage IV Cancer, as time was of the essence.  Maria was amazing guiding Aaron and I through the all the paperwork and back tax filing. Maria's connections with the IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board were so useful that Aaron was absolved of his burden in the negotiations that Maria organized. I would highly recommend this group for their compassion and follow through.
