What makes a great website?
A great website is one that not only looks great and is aligned for your business and audience, but one that is highly optimised and delivered to a user without any hanging around! Any website should be designed Mobile First and progressively enhanced for desktop users, the end result should have been rigorously tested before deployment.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I'll want to get to the root of what it is your business does to ensure your digital product is a great reflection of that. I'll usually ask about any known competition with websites and probably what websites you have seen recently that you really like.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting up in the morning and doing exactly what I want to do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started Design Spin in 2011 after leaving a fairly successful career in a business development role at an Aluminium company. I somehow did that job for nearly 11 years, I always knew I wanted to do something IT related, so here I am! I was born into an age of home computing, and have been heavily interested in computers since the age of 5, so it felt like the right thing to do.
