I highly recommend Sarah. Her treatment for a serious back injury put me back on my feet much faster than the medical profession expected, and I very much appreciated her caring approach and expertise.

Getting acupuncture treatment weekly from Sarah helped me cope with the stress of an intensive CELTA course. Anyone familiar with this course will know what a strong recommendation that is. Getting treatment every Wednesday helped me survive the gruelling routine of observed teaching, study and essay writing that took most of my time for a month. After treatment I would feel much more relaxed, calm and ready to carry on. More...

I have been having regular Shiatsu treatments with Sarah for the last five years or so. As well as helping me deal with backache, stress and sleep issues, the treatments have greatly improved my immune system and I get far fewer colds and illnesses than I used to. Additionally, Sarah has helped me through two pregnancies. Highly recommended! More...

Q&As

I love helping people to get well and stay well. No two treatments are the same because each treatment is adapted to the needs of each individual so my job is never boring.

I used to be a journalist, but wanted to do a more meaningful job helping people rather than putting headlines on stories. I was inspired by Asian healing arts through my time living in Thailand and India in my early 20s (I used to work for a newspaper in Bangkok). I first qualified in Shiatsu in 2004, which works on the same Chinese medical system as Acupuncture. This is hands-on, using a serious of massage and osteopathy techniques rather than needles.
I subsequently gained a BSc in Acupuncture (a four-year training program).

My skills in both hands-on body work (Shiatsu and massage) and Acupuncture combine very well for a wide range of problems from back and neck ache to IBS and stress. Having a variety of tools in my tool kit gives me greater skills to be able to tailor the treatment to benefit each individual client.
