I've been a member of Active Fitness since it opened.  They have a great staff, owner is always there working or working out and the place is kept clean.  I rarely wait on anything because of the amount equipment they have.  They offer free weights, universals, cardio machines, tanning, trainers and much more.  If you want to work out without the nonsense Active Fitness is the place to be.  I recommend it to everyone I know. My girlfriend and I trained here at Active Fitness Saturday and would highly recommend this gym. Once we walked in we felt the great energy level and was greeted by Mike the owner personally, inside the gym was clean, plenty of real good equipment, the Cardio area was packed with so much stuff, great music and of course my favorite the Free Weight area was awesome. One of the most balanced and supportive gyms I've been to. Hardcore competing Athletes to the casual Dadbods. Staff and trainers are top shelf with their knowledge & experience. (With a variety of training specialties) No Pizza party's here, but plenty of camaraderie. No judging, instead you'll get healthy instruction from staff and patrons alike on your form and methods. I have trained at many gyms and fitness clubs in the area, and Active Fitness is and will always be my “home.” The staff is friendly the atmosphere is welcoming couldn’t ask for anything better, they have trainers who run classes and do individual training, and they have tanning beds, and the best is the equipment!

I have been in many gyms in my life and by far ActiveFitness is my favorite gym!!
they have plenty of different equipments , tanning beds , FIT-X classes, Kickboxing classes and great atmosphere .
The employees always welcoming and the owner himself is really down to earth and care for his members.
It’s family owned fitness center which you can feel huge difference from all these corporate gyms that all they care about is packing their gyms and selling memberships (with hidden fees)!

It's a really clean gym. It's a nice gym. It's reasonably priced...however my only complaint is that there is a lack of energy level there in my opinion. I feel like I'm working out in the middle of a department store like Kohls with the soft music and earth toned surroundings like rug and colors on the walls.
I've been going to gyms since I was a kid...I'm pushing 50 now. I'm not in search of a meathead gym by any means...but for those of us who don't use an IPod in the gym, do us a favor and raise up the volume and put on some upbeat music...
I assume owners now have to appeal to everyone other then men...especially the ladies...the days of hearing loud rock music in gyms is over...and hanging 2 or 3 pics of Arnold from1975 just ain't gonna cut it as far as motivation...
Again it sounds like I'm being picky...it's a decent gym...no complaints other than change up the lame music, crank the volume up and try to bump up the "feel" in the place! It's a snoozer... More...

I live 2-3 hours north of this area.. Found this gym via the zumba.com site.  The staff is SUPER friendly, the space is huge and has lots of equipment. Signing in was a breeze & the charge was cheap $10.  The instructor Lisa Brigandi had great energy & was fun to follow. The Zumba room was a bit small but Lisa made room for me by moving a stationary bike (even though i was late) & I still had a good space to dance on.   Overall a great experience. Will definitely go back to this gym when in the area to take more classes and exercise on the equipment. More...

Active Fitness is not one of the big crowded franchise gyms. It is a medium sized facility where you can get in and get out. Or, if you're like me spend a couple of hours without being rushed. The gym staff is very friendly and courteous and they do their best to make your workout time enjoyable and successful. At the front counter, Noelle and team always have a welcoming smile and happily assist with questions or needs.The equipment is reliable and always available. Multiple TV screens over the cardio section help the run, step and spin time go quicker. The locker rooms are big, clean, and pleasant smelling. And, hats off to the evening cleaning staff---Rose, who makes this experience more pleasant.  There are not a lot of classes like some of the franchise gyms, but they do offer crossfit type sessions, with respective equipment, in their specialty area.The clientele ranges from the serious athlete to the maintenance type, from seniors to younger than seniors, therefore, the atmosphere is non-intimidating.During my training years, I have belonged to multiple fitness centers big and small.
