My partner and I moved into Clapham on Wednesday and went for a celebration dinner @ ECO that evening. We can recommend the menu, the food was tasty and the cocktails funky. So so sorry this review is for restaurant next door and I can’t seem to delete. So I have given stars without eating here as I can’t remove my error
I visited today and the food looked beautiful! But oh my god both girls serving food had their hair hanging down. As I stood looking at the pasta dish one with longest hair, lent over to make up a plate of food and her hair was sweeping across the food. The plate she was holding had her hair on it! I was put off, as she seemed comfortable having hair down while working with food. No attempt to put back behind her ear even, no just hanging over and on food. I thought someone is about to be given that food and said, excuse me your hair is in the pasta, the young woman response was rude and she effectively dismissed me as she went to give the food out. I said look your hair is resting on the plate. Why is your hair down. I asked to speak with manager and both young girls said we are in charge. Both had long hair hanging down. I said your hair should be tied back and then I left as I didn’t feel they cared what I thought! So watch who is serving your food or long black hair could land in your mouth!! Yuck yuck

The atmosphere is great and the staff are relaxed, friendly and very helpful. There are beautiful aromas coming from the kitchen and we had a wonderful time. The chilli prawn starter is delicious. 3 of us had the same dish spaghetti carbonara. One of us felt it was a little oily but it was more a personal taste as the other two devoured it. So if there is any ti y criticism then if possible less olive oil in that dish..The waiter and manager checked in regularly were terrific about it when we mentioned it. It was no neessary but we appreciated how they even offered to make a new dish. They made us feel great and i would thoroughly recommend a visit. The food is good and the price is very reasonable. Thanks to all the staff. We will come back soon to try some other dishes. More...
