It was quite a tricky installation as we didn’t have a chimney at first so our builder built a half chimney onto the house and Absolute Stoves then installed a twin wall flue system. They then had to install fire boards inside the newly created opening and a slate hearth which looks brill. They took a lot of care with measuring up and getting the levels spot on. We had to have our stove installed in a corner of our lounge, this concerned us a bit as we did not know if it would look good. We needed a chimney liner and a cast iron Victorian fireplace and insert fitted, along with a refitting of antique slate fireplace. For insurance purposes it had to be Hetas certificated.We like to use local trades when possible. Absolute gave us prompt quotes and started work exactly on time. The chimney liner was not straightforward as it was to service an open fire in an 1890 property. Paul from Absolute explained the process to us kept to timescales and quote.
