When we chose to have our reception at The Paxton, we were happy to hear who the caterer would be. We have only amazing experiences with Abraham Catering! They do everything from small events, such as our backyard engagement brunch, to large wedding receptions. They are incredibly easy to work with! You can either do a personal tasting in which you choose which dishes you'd like to try before the big day, or you can go to a larger group tasting that is set up buffet style with tons of options to try. I knew I wanted a vegan dinner option for the reception as many of my family and friends are vegan. They gladly came up with different ideas for me to choose. They even let me (the bride) have my own special meal, as I'm not quite a vegan, but I don't eat meat either. We had a reception for 150 people catered with passed canapés. The menu selections were varied and creative, and the presentation was perfect. The crew even timed the service so that all of our guests had the opportunity to try each and every type of canapé. Special honored guests as well as children were served and made to feel a special part of the celebration. It was a pleasure to plan with Jennifer. I just had my wedding last weekend using Abraham Catering.  Not only were they so easy to plan with, but their staff is INSANELY friendly!  The servers and bartenders were the sweetest most accommodating people ever.  The event coordinator that worked with me, Kara was amazing.  Another person I worked with, Chad was also great!  She was responsive to my questions, and made everything exactly how I wanted it on my special day.  On top of all of this the food was SOOOO good.  Highly recommend the beef bourguignon and Chicken marsala.  1316 Jones street was an awesome venue.  I can't imagine planning a wedding with anyone else. Abraham Catering is the designated caterer for Lauritzen Garden.   We had scheduled our 50th wedding vow renewal at the garden and worked with Diane to have a cold buffet for 30 people.  The menu was small but the amount of food was more than enough and delicious.  My best accolades must go to Josie, who was the service personnel for our event.   She was on time, set up the room with excellent suggestions regarding where things would look best. At the end, she took down all the food and extra decorations that we had brought.   She packed the cakes, packed the toppers and the tablescapes.  She helped with the toasts.   She was a delight.   She made a very special day even better. Abraham Hap Catering catered the food for my wedding and it was amazing! They provide many different styles of dining (buffet, plated, breakfast etc) and the food options are numerous as well. It was nice to not have to go with the same old plain jane food options you see with other caterers. ( We were able to get a delicious Chicken Veronique). The food was delicious- I have people emailing me what the dressing for the salad was, how the meat was cooked, etc., so thank you so much, Hap Abraham for serving better than the typical wedding food for our guests!

Everyone at Hap Abraham was immediately responsive to my questions, concerns, and last minute changes when we found out severe dietary restrictions the day before the wedding!

Dawn Blankenship of Hap Abraham Catering is simply DIVINE! She was so great to work with and I could not have been more happy with Hap's services.

Dawn worked with me to create my signature drink, a peach belini and she was able to add 312 beer to our drink list.

She had great suggestions on the appetizers we had passed around during cocktail hour and she was of great help during our tasting for our dinner service.

The food was delish...our guests loved the food. We live in Chicago, and are definitely spoiled with good food, and Hap was top notch!

I used Hap Abraham catering for my wedding reception and I had an overwhelmingly positive experience. If you're planning an event, I highly recommend this vendor! Our first meeting with the folks at Hap was great. We scheduled a tasting about 3 months before the big day to make sure we could find a chicken dish we didn't hate (I can't tell you how many disappointing or utterly inedible chicken dishes I've had at weddings). We met with Ryan and he took us through all the dishes we were tasting and described each one. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. A wedding is a big event and is such a precious day, so having this meeting really set my mind at ease and made me feel that it would run smoothly.The food they provided at our reception was top-notch, as far as wedding food goes. I usually don't have super high expectations for food that is mass-produced, but Hap's dinner surpassed my standards. We had a buffet (my fiance's request) and chose the roast beef and lemon herb chicken. The roast beef was good, pretty tender, and carved right at the buffet table. It could have used more seasoning, but the bordelaise sauce on the side did help. The chicken had this lemon cream sauce that was scrumptious! It wasn't too heavy, but kept the chicken moist from the first guest to the last. It had fresh chopped basil on top which really lightened up the cream sauce. The staff was professional, but my gripe was that after we cut the cake, they laid out a plate for the groom and I at our head table. Since we were the couple getting married, we were obviusly busy that evening. When we came back 30 minutes later, the cake was gone. I had to then go track down a piece. This sounds picky, but I really felt a bit miffed that my cake had been thrown away. More...

As an event planner myself, I had a very specific vision for my wedding day. That vision came with specific instructions for my venue & food that I'm sure most brides don't make. But the team at Hap Abraham, especially Chad, did an excellent job of meeting every single one of my requests. Not only that, but at times Chad had even better suggestions that I never would have thought of. When we arrived at the reception everything was perfect. The food was amazing & our guests left very satisfied. Everything was set up correctly, from the tables to the drink station.

We choose Hap Abraham catering for our wedding reception after researching several caterings in the Omaha area. We initially picked Abraham because of the reasonable price, friendliness of staff, and variety of options; your menu options are limitless! We worked directly with Brian Kobs and he was awesome, always easy to contact, promptly replied to emails, and he is extremely knowledgable and helpful in planning your ideal menu and reception. The food was phenomenal, everyone at our reception commented on the food, and the waitstaff did an amazing job as well. When I went through the buffet line someone carried and filled my plate for me and even carried it to the table for me so I would not risk spilling on my dress!
