My now husband and I were married yesterday through Above the Mist's venue service.From first contact to begin planning through the end with the cabin/reception package everything was wonderful. Everyone was awesome to work with. We felt very taken care of from beginning to end. Our officiant was an awesome fella who tailored the ceremony around us, he was gracious enough to carry my mom's family Bible, and slipped in some words in her memory. Above the Mist handled our wedding for us in July 2011. I was blown away by the service we received. Everything was perfect! The mountaintop site was breathtaking, the cake was delicious, my bouquet was amazing, and everything else was top-notch. I wish we could get married again!

I just had my wedding there on October 10th and I could not have been happier with Above The Mist. They are so nice and professional. They answered my emails beforehand so quickly and gave me everything I wanted. During the ceremony at the river a woman came up and watched. So far all of the women have been so much help! They respond back to my emails very quickly and fix all of my problems/concerns I have. They are basically my wedding planner. I have been working with them for a while now and even though at one point my wedding was a year away they still took all of my emails seriously like I was getting married the next day.I am excited to get married at their location in September! I want to thank everyone at Above The Mist ! My Daughter Taylor and son in law Ryan just got married August 19th 2017 . You girls are the absolute best. Everything was perfect , the mountain view site was a million dollar view ! It was absolutely breathtaking! The pastor was excellent and so compassionate and personable. I can't thank you enough for your excellent service ! The flowers beautiful and the cake not only beautiful but so good! We had a reception at the cabin and the food was the best! You all took so much time and took care of everything, paying attention to every single detail! I absolutely loved the service we got from Above the Mist. They were professional, timely, considerate, and very friendly. The pastor and photographer are phenomenal and are excellent at putting people at ease and making them feel special. The vendors they use to complete your ceremony can't be beat. Loved everything about our riverside location! All we wanted was our closest family and something short and sweet and this was perfect! ! My bouquet was gorgeous!! The photographer was very nice! The man who married us was super sweet! Our wedding was November 8,2014!

The only 2 complaints is I wish the package we purchased came with more pictures without having to purchase a whole disc separate. And the small cake that came with the package was AWFUL like sat out for 3 days nasty hard. More...

My wedding was 11/19/16. We chose the chapel location, which was beautiful. The misnister did a WONDERFUL job with the wording of our ceremony after only speaking to us for about 2 minutes before we started. All the ladies were amazing, and helpful with recommendation for a hair salon, and quickly responding the any emails I had. Kimberly the photographer listened to what we wanted for our photos and made sure we stayed warm in between shoots. She made sure we had a sneak peak with in a few days. My wedding was about 2 weeks ago and it was perfect! The mountain view is incredible. Everyone took the stress off me and all I had to do was show up, slip into my dress and walk down the aisle to my husband. The pastor was great, he even met us the next morning since I forgot the marriage license �. The photographer was amazing, she even had a sneak peek sent to me within 2 days!! Our cake and flowers were beautiful as well.

The only complaint I have is I was originally sent the wrong address with my cabin reservation, so all of my wedding invitations were wrong which confused a lot of my guests seeing as the address I was sent was no where close to the chapel. More...

I can't express how wonderful Above the mist is! My husband decided he wanted to keep our anniversary two months before the date! I contacted Above the Mist and they took care of EVERYTHING! The site was absolutely gorgeous! We wanted something small and intimate and that is exactly what we got. All the planning was done through calls and email and they covered every question and concern I had. They were very quick to respond to questions. The coordinator was very sweet and took care of everything the day of. The photographer took wonderful pictures. She even let me do extra poses I wanted and even helped me into my rather difficult dress. The pastor was wonderful. He walked us through the ceremony step by step since there was no rehersal. He even kept everyone laughing when my husband and I messed up the unity sand ceremony. The cabin they booked for the reception was gorgeous! The only issue I had was the chicken at the reception was a little meh but everything else was good. I highly reccomend Above the Mist if you are looking for somewhere beautiful for an intimate wedding. They made my dream wedding come true! More...

Thanks to Above the Mist we had the wedding of our dreams! Excellent price for a million dollar view. Everyone was so nice and helpful. There wasn't a rehearsal the day before which made me worried but the whole staff told us exactly what to do the day of and everything went flawlessly! Above The Mist was fantastic! So accommodating and helpful! My husband and I’s wedding turned out absolutely gorgeous. Every little detail that I had in mind, along with every question, concern, and thought never went unanswered. The florist done an incredible job on my bouquet, the Maid Of Honor’s bouquet, and the boutonnières. The baker done a fantastic job with our cake. Our guest loved it! The photographer went above and beyond capturing special moments for us! And the minister....done such a terrific job with our ceremony! He really took the time to hear our story and learn about us. Above the Mist was a wonderful partner in my wedding. They were straight forward with what was allowed and not, which I appreciated. We married at the mountain top site, which was more beautiful than the pictures showed. They waited until one week before the event to call and finalize details. I wish that it had been earlier, as planning an out of state wedding was stressful enough. The time spend during our block seemed to be rushed, although this may have been due to wedding jitters. The owners of the property stayed on site during the event, which was a little bazaar, considering we paid for the block. When it was all said and done, we wanted to do it all again, and would definitely incorporate Above the Mist. More...

Above the Mist is absolutely amazing! My husband and I got married here on October 14th. Our wedding was everything we wanted and so much more! It’s the most beautiful, private and intimate location, which is exactly what we wanted. The catering was amazing and the cake was even better. My husband and I got married here on 10/7/17. The location is so private and the view is unbelievable! The leaves just started to change colors, so we got the beautiful fall colors contrasting against some still green trees and the gorgeous mountains in the back! Everything was seamless and the Above the Mist staff was so helpful when it came to the cake, music, flowers, and any questions we had. They even worked with us to photograph a private first look before we became husband and wife! Above the mist was perfect for our Tennessee wedding! They stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process and were very fast with responding to any messages I sent them. Our wedding day was perfect and the planning process was so simple and stress free from day one. The mountain view is breathtaking! Everyone person we dealt with was friendly and accommodating.
We haven’t seen our pictures yet but the photographer was very nice. My only hesitation was that you don’t know how much the pictures cost until afterwards but we are just looking to order a handful of pictures. More...

We couldn’t have been more happy with our wedding. I was so amazing at how even after just speaking with us for about 15 minutes, the minister made our wedding feel so personal like he had known us for years. He said so many beautiful things and he was very kind. We felt so special. The ladies were in touch with us the whole time so we felt very involved. The gazebo was beautiful and the photographer did a great job and took lots of pictures. I feel like we got so much for such a great price. From the moment we decided to have our wedding here the ladies in their office were so very tentative and kind. They were so easy to communicate with and helped with coordinating everything. The mountain top ceremony site is seriously breath taking. No need for decor with that view. Our minister was such a kind soul. He was spectacular. Married 11/13/2017. Purchased the Above the Mist wedding package. We had a WONDERFUL experience with this company. All my questions were answered quickly. I loved my experience with Above the Mist. It was extremely easy booking and everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly! I loved our officiant (I don't remember his name but I do remember he was a Sevier County sheriff) and our photographer was an angel. I had a dress that laced in the back and she had no problem helping me lace it up as my only guests were my dad and our 2 dogs :)
I did have an issue with our certificate getting lost in the mail from them to the county office, but when I contacted them about it they sent us another application and a pre-stamped envelope and got it taken care of.

I’m so glad I found above the mist online when I was searching for an out of town Mountain View wedding venue. It is the perfect small wedding option. The cabin we stayed in was amazing and put you in that mountainy feel, the backdrop of the mountains at the venue is literally breathtaking! It’s all inclusive which makes your wedding planning so much easier and more fun! But aside from all that what made this process so much easier and stress free were the amazing crew and wedding planners of above the mist! Getting in contact with them was always easy! They always picked up the phone if I called during their business hours and my emails were responded to no later than the next business day! They were absolutely incredible and always so nice and helpful and I was never given any attitude or negativity and I’m the best example of that because I literally called and emailed them almost everyday for half a year because planning a wedding somewhere I wasn’t familiar with and the desire of everything being perfect was difficult for me but they put that at ease for me and gave me the most amazing unforgettable wedding day experience! They over exceeded my expectations and more and I couldn’t be more thankful! I have told everyone about above the mist and recommend it for anyone and everyone! They were absolutely amazing!!
