Maths Tutoring
We chose Above the Curve to work with our son, as he did not get on with his maths teacher particularly well, but he needed a strong maths result to support his interest in computer science.
Working with Sai, he has developed not just his maths skills, but his ability to reason, and to recognise when he is going wrong, to be able to step back and review his work from a objective perspective, which has been just as important as working on his maths.
Sai is incredibly patient, has an ability to understand his students, and knows how to work with them to get the best out of them. He has been incredibly supportive through lockdown as well as being genuinely interested in my son's future aspirations, and how we all work to support him to get him there. Many many thanks.

Sai is an excellent Tutor, my son is fifteen year 10 and in three weeks working with Sai and is very comfortable with his teaching style, Sai is a tentative teacher with a great attitude to teaching and learning reacting to the students needs.
I am sure as the weeks continue my son will develop a better understanding of what he finds challenging at the moment linked with being coached ready for his GCSEs in year 11. What do you love most about your job?
I've been involved in teaching for a long time. For over 20 years, in fact. In that time, I've taught hundreds and hundreds of different students, all of whom have had to overcome their own unique challenges. I can tell you for a fact that there is no greater feeling than helping a student - especially one who might have been struggling for a long time - unlock their full potential.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Teaching is one of the hardest, most crucial professions in the world. In classrooms of thirty children or more, it can be difficult to offer every single student our undivided attention. Unfortunately, this often means that there a lot of young learners who aren't receiving the extra help they need to succeed. That's why I started this programme: to provide exceptional, affordable tuition that will enable all students to go above the curve.
