Worked for Able roofing & building gave me the experience I needed

Be very wary! I hired Lance and Co to repair 2 separate roofing related leaks. He came across as very pleasant and engaging and helpful. Identified the problems (so we thought), quoted and proceeded to fix the problem. He said it was completed and provided 5 yr guarantee which turned out to be useless! The leaks persisted in the same 2 separate spots - I called and messaged several times and eventually he replied that he’d fixed the problem as he guaranteed- and refused to come see!! He clearly does not understand what a guarantee is or simply issues them in bad faith. Now refuses to answer my calls or messages - £1300 down the drain and into his pocket. Now I have to pay other roofers to fix problem he said he’d fixed!!! I feel absolutely scammed! I question the vetting his company has gone through if I’m not the only person claiming to have been let down in such a way. More...

All work done correctly all ridge tiles and flashings all correct your roof needs a membrane as i told your project management (husband) . So based on the budget you gave all work i complete was 100% leak free all done without scaffolding to save you both money as i informed your project manager on the day. Roof over 100 years old as i said all slates in place means is required felt as it was a old Victorian house. Regards lance

Offered a 5 year guarantee, did not fix the leak on my roof, charged me £500 and then blocked my number. Cheers Lance

They were very pleasant. It took them a while to source the problem which they believed they had solved. As they left he said to get in touch if there were any further problems. I did try to get in touch but did not receive a response. The problem is not as bad as it was but we still have it. As pensioners we are unable to pay out £300 each time we try to solve this problem so at present we are just putting up with it. More...

Can't recommend Lance and his team anymore! The lads did a fantastic job on our roof. We required a full re-roof. The qoute was very fair and the job carried out was unbelievable.

Wish I could give him 0 stars. Please DO NOT use him. He guaranteed me 3 years on my chimney 2 months after he has come down i have the same issue and he is now ignoring my calls. Dont waste your money/time on him.
