Jamie’s work is so different and interesting! We'd seen his display at Treehouse Interiors at Midmar (old Millers), and we loved it, and were keen to get a piece as something a bit different for our living room. We had seen one of his sculptures on the wall at a friend’s house of a rusted stag head, and so we got his details from the staff at Treehouse, and ordered the piece which now takes price of place on our granite wall above the wood burner! He also delivered the piece to us in person, which I thought was a really nice touch, and we loved hearing about some of the commissions he was working on- will definitely be in touch again! What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new clients, and creating pieces which are completely personal and unique to them. No two jobs are ever the same, and that's what I love about what I do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having studied and worked in architecture, I wanted to share my love of local heritage and buildings in a new and exciting way, and meet new, different and exciting people. This was not happening in the office, and so I set out to do my own thing. I started out illustrating local buildings, and gradually was approached more and more to create unique pieces for people- since then I haven't looked back!
