SORRY ONE PICTURE IS GRAPHIC, BUT NECESSARY. I HAVE MANY MORE BUT ONLY INCLUDING WHAT IS NEEDED FOR PROOF.
The staff at ABC K-9 are telling people who ask that the pictures/stories poste on FB are not true. I have been in contact with Gruncheon's family (the black dog that was injured at ABC K9 Fun and then stapled by the facility owner Peggy Beagle). This horrific injury/"treatment" just happened in September 2022. THIS IS REAL.
I would like to point out the photos of the incident report are also posted. This incident report is an internal document from ABC K-9 regarding Gruncheon's injury and the action taken (muzzle her and staple her). Who did it and what time, etc. It specifically says Gruncheon was muzzled and Peggy Beagle stapled her. It also shows the time as 4:00, plenty of time to get Gruncheon to an emergency vet appointment. There are also photos included on another page of the log. If staff is saying this is not true they are clearly lying.
If you have any doubts about the welfare of your animals. ASK FOR A TOUR OF THE FACILITY. YOU WILL NOT GET ONE. They are clearly hiding things. If they will not allow you to tour DO NOT leave your dogs there. Even if things have been fine thus far, you never know when your dog could be hurt and be given veterinary care by a kennel owner with no training.
The laws for animal protection in the Fairbanks North Star Borough and the state are weak at best and offer little protection. YOU ARE YOUR DOGS PROTECTON for everything, including some delusional business owner playing veterinarian/Dr. Frankenstein on your pet. PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.
Pictures from the log, sorry some are graphic but try to think of your dog being injured, muzzled, and stapled by an untrained, unlicensed non-veterinarian.
Gruncheon's owners cut their trip short to return and take her to an ACTUAL VET. The wound was infected, staples poorly done and removed obviously, wound cleaned, and stitched properly by a LICENSED VETRINARIAN not a wanna be kennel owner. This dog went through hell because of ABC K9 Fun and owner Peggy Beagle. I hope no other dogs suffer through something like this. Please people find another option for your dogs.

My dog loves it everytime we take him here! He gets a great workout and when groomed he looks great! Very good a trimming his nails even though he is sensitive about his feet. Highly recommend!

I have been using AbcK-9 for the last 7 years for my dogs and cat. My pets love going, staying and even having short doggy day care time on Sunday afternoons. I do not normally leave reviews but today I noticed the low star count on this place and I am shocked. I tried EVERY dog kennel in town and the surrounding area.... I had a big problem at all of them. One place over fed one dog and starved the other... another gave my dog staff infection on his paw and left it untreated until I came to pick him up (that was horrific on my furr baby). Another place just made my dog sad... he didn't want to go into the office. I have many stories like this. I searched for a place that was fun for my pets. Mostly during the winter when I can't stay outside as long as they can but yes, summer days when I get busy with work my pets should not suffer indoors. I found AbcK-9 and I will never go anywhere else. My dogs flip out as soon as I turn onto the road. They run to the employees and hardly notice I am away for a day or on vacation for two weeks. They come back to me happy and healthy. The staff even keeps track of who plays well together so your pets get to have the best and safest time. I would give more stars if I could. My girl goes to ABC year round, but alot more in the summer months when I work long hours. I consider my dog to be high maintence, with health issues and sometimes not the best behaved. ABC has always helped me along the way with her health issues, and have given me great recommendations. I can tell they do care about her and her well being. Today was my puppy’s first time at ABC K9 Fun. Since he’s only about 10 weeks old, he is not very social/comfortable with other dogs. As a new mommy, I worried about leaving him at daycare. Turns out Snow was actually crying as my husband picked him up and left the facility. He had fun and made friends with other puppies. Our two dogs go 2-3 times a week. The drop off/pick up hours are extremely flexible and it’s super quick and easy. They are always so excited to go. They run through the gate, tails wagging, without looking back. They love it! I also appreciate that the staff seems to genuinely care about the dogs in their care. They know my dogs names, their personalities, etc. Our girl can be pretty timid but the socialization she gets here has done wonders for her. 5 stars ABC is great! Very easy to work with and attentive to the needs of our big baby. They keep us updated with any changes that come up and are happy to snap a couple pics so we can see our dog while we're away. We've used them several times for long periods (a week or more) and a couple times for short periods (an afternoon to get him out of the house for a bit) and have never had any issues at all. Zeus loves getting dropped off there, all wagging and excited whines when we turn into Van Horn, and he's always tired and happy when we pick him up (no easy feat with a 2 year old lab mutt). Kodiak and I love ABC K9! I live in North Pole so it's quite a drive but, worth the drive in my opinion. He's a young, energetic puppy that needs to stay active. I take him to doggy daycare 1-2xs a week and it has been wonderful. The staff are so kind to both you and the dog. I recommend buying the 10 pack package for $198 (10% discount). We love abck-9 & equine kennel. They are great with our older dog. She is treated like family and trots right up when we drop her off, which says a lot. I enjoy talking to the staff about her when I am picking her up and about how it went. I rescued an 85-lb sled dog with severe anxiety around people (especially men) and a fear of loud noises. He wouldn't come to anyone but me when I first adopted him, and then only when he decided it was safe. Peggy's obedience and agility classes gave him the confidence and me the tools I needed to help him adapt to life as a pet in a city. I am new to Fairbanks and polled many owners at the local puppy parks on the best doggie daycare. ABC was the only one that was recommended ,time after time. My three dogs love going there, both for daycare and boarding. The staff is very experienced, friendly, and caring. They know and treat each dog in their care as an individual. They can do grooming as well. One time one of my dogs was injured while in their care, through no fault of ABC. The staff handled the incident very well and administered the necessary first aid. My 18-month-old loves it there. I bring him for daycare a few times a month throughout the year, and just got him back from his first week-long stay. He's always happy to arrive - jumping out of the car, leaping at the gate, and never looking back when I drop him off. When I pick him up, he's all smiles until he crashes in the car. Once I get him home and feed him dinner, he's usually down for the count. It's nice to see the photos here on Facebook to see that he really is having a wonderful time.
