Abby and I originally worked together as therapists at a residential treatment center for eating disorders and then subsequently have partnered on numerous projects and presentations. I find her to be endlessly creative and vastly knowledgeable in her clinical work. Abby not only offers foundational understanding of schools of therapy but offers herself and her experience in a wise, practical, and down to earth manner. Abby is insightful, warm, funny, and curious all great attributes of a healer with which one can make change. More...

Q&As

I love participating in a process of change. Life will always have obstacles and frustrating aspects but I love the process of therapy because it allows everything, the positive and negative, to be fuel for growth. I get to watch people gain insight and experiment with their lives and find exciting new possibilities. I also learn from the process every time! I feel extremely fortunate to do what I do.

I started my own practice because I wanted to create something very specific. I wanted a space where people feel comfortable and it can be a respite from everyday life. I work from a humanistic relational gestalt perspective, which basically means I don't think therapy is a manualized process that you may find in an agency or insurance based setting, so I like having the freedom to help people in a unique and effective way.
