We are so glad that we chose David and his team at A1 Linacre Builders to undertake our new build project, a 2/3 bed property over 3 floors. The work was carried out on time, on budget and to a very high standard. He kept us fully updated as work progressed and we are thankful that he was on hand to suggest slight tweaks to the interior fittings which improved the overall design. We were so impressed that we got him back to landscape the back garden which included laying a large patio, building raised flower beds and laying an artificial lawn. From March to May 2019 David and his team undertook a first floor extention to our chalet bungalow, involving a complete reroofing, fitting dormer and velux windows and a substantial remodelling of a bathroom. They were always ready to start work at 8.30, we had none of the worries of builders failing to appear and the work was completed on time. Furthermore the price we paid was virtually exactly as quoted. A less than 1% variance was due to unforseen circumstances discovered when the bathroom roof was removed.Problems were dealt with professionally, without fuss and within budget. We were very pleased with the quality of the work, attention to detail and for ideas to improve the project as it developed.By the time David and his team had finished the character of the bungalow had been changed for the better and their work has receieved many positive compliments. I've used Linacre on two occasions. Once for a major house job that included, amongst other things, the design, preparation and installation of a none standard rsj and for a more minor job that involved joist replacement and relaying of a pine floor. Both jobs went well in terms of both time and quality of work, and both jobs came in as per estimate. Unanticipated extra work was needed on the larger job and Linacre quickly did what was necessary.
