We worked with Lyle and had an absolute wonderful experience. Lyle was running late to our appointment and was kind enough to text us a few hours before our appointment to let us know! He has excellent work ethic and never once did he complain or become frustrated when there were unexpected obstacles. He does tremendous work and does not cut corners! I was very happy with my recent service from A1.  I needed a new garbage disposal put in and an electrical switch installed for it.  James responded to my online inquiry right away and was informative about the cost and what to expect and was able to get someone out there within 2 days to come get this completed.  Based on what was needed to be done, this had to be a 2 day project- both days, the tech, Mark, was on time, very friendly and efficient.  After the 2nd day, I did have an issue where my dishwasher wasn't working right after he left.  I emailed James to let him know and Mark called me within 5 mins of me sending the email and setup a time for the next day to come back to check out what was going on. The issue had nothing to do with the work on it the day before and was due to the part being old and needing to be replaced.  He replaced this for me and only charged for the part.  I insisted to pay more for his time/labor, but he said that he quoted me a certain price the other day and was sticking to this.  This to me was very unexpected, but awesome to hear as I have had VERY different scenarios with other plumbing companies that i have used in the past.  I will definitely be reaching out again soon for some other projects around the house. We had a new window installed in our home. Because the window was larger than the old window, we needed wires moved.  I called A1 Handyman.  They were super friendly and able to get out to my home within the day.  I was impressed because they were willing to come out at 7 p.m. to take care of us.  I did think it was a tad bit pricey for what needed to be done BUT, like I said, A1 was quick and worked 'after hours'.  I would definitely recommend using A1 Handyman More...

How often do you call a handyman and "surprise" no one bothers to return your call?  Well, this has not been the case with Jeff. I am not a handy guy around the house or for our car. It is something that I readily admit and don't cover up. We all have our strengths and opportunities and this is an opportunity area for me. There exists this brave  unknown in regards to handymen to do jobs in and around the house. So with a leap of faith and some review checking on Yelp, I had my father call A1 Handyman for a leaky outdoor facet. With it being a late Friday afternoon, I thought that we'll get a voice mail or an appointment next week. My dad bounced into my office and said that Dino and the team would be here in about 30 mins. Wow. Impressed. Dino and the team came and unfortunately we had to have the guys crawl under the house to diagnose the leaky outdoor facet. We huddled around the facet and discussed the options. I know, most of you are thinking, " here's where they get you to turn over the wallet "  Nothing is further from the truth. A1 handyman and their guys are more concerned about doing what's right for the best price. We could have decided to fix the pipe under the house, which thanks to the builders 11 years ago is an in a difficult location or we could simply cap it off completely. The price for either was very affordable. We decided to cap the pipe underneath since we use that facet outdoors maybe two or three times a year to fill the kiddie pool for our husky. I would totally recommend A1 handyman for jobs around and outside the house that can't be tackled by yourself. I had just moved here from CA and found that our garbage disposal was not functional.  I of course came to Yelp to look for a plumber and found A1 Handyman.  I called and Jeff was at my house the same day with a new unit.  The install was quick and clean and Jeff is a real great guy.There are no negatives here, just give them a call for all your handyman needs and know you are getting superior service.  We will be using A1 for all our needs moving forward.  Thank you Jeff! We called A1 in desperate need of someone coming to our home that day.  We had started installing a fan on our own and it was not working out! He answered and came that evening (we called at 3:30pm on a Sunday! and he still came that day!) He got it taken care of for a pretty competitive price (Lowes had quoted us the same price when we bought the fans but couldn't schedule it for several days out) We had him come back later in the week to put in another fan, same great job.  We told him about a buzzing noise (it sounded like a motor or something) in the fan in the first room.  He took a look and found the motor wasn't good (factory style defect, not installation issue) so we took it back to Lowes and got a new one, he came back a third time free of charge and installed the new motor.  This guy (the owner btw) was great.  He also called before he came and was on time every time (seriously appreciate that with a small child, planning is a good thing around here) We will hire him again anytime we need anything done.  Friendly, fair, good work, what more can you ask for? Needed 4 new smoke alarms installed and called Jeff around 4PM and he arrived at 7PM and installed them in less than 1/2 hour. He was very pleasant, fast and competent. We would highly recommend him for anything. While he was here we showed him our faucet in the kitchen that was loose and he quickly repaired that too. I was so impressed, as a first time customer, that I will use these folks going forward.  I called Jeff with an issue with my front door. He answered the phone - no answering service. I'm a new Idahoan, just moving  here from California 2 weeks ago.   I know  not  a soul to  get references from and rather  than learn the hard way I  resort to  Yelp (as I always have in  the past) to find the best.  That's how I found Jeff (A1 Handyman).  With these sterling reviews, how could  I  not  call him?Anyway, the prior owners didn't leave my new home  in the greatest condition.   I had a bathroom light switch making a  shorting noise, a running toilet, and a busted security bar.  Jeff answered  his phone right away, told me that he could be there in 2 hours, arrived as he said he would.   The bathroom switch turned out to  be a  spark (yikes).  He replaced that, adjusted the toilet and  repaired the security bar within  an hour.   Being  new in town, I feel  really  blessed to have found  such a reliable service and definitely  plan to use Jeff again.   Thank you, Jeff! I have been working with A1 and Jeff for over 6 months now and I can only say great things. Jeff is extremely reliable and responsive. I have had a plumbing emergency and Jeff made it to my home within 5 minutes while a clogged drain backed water up into my home. Jeff stopped the water and did a clean up so fast (4 inches deep) that nothing was even damaged! He had handled electrical, plumbing, general maintenance, and just about everything else we need. He is honest and priced very fairly, and takes the time to explain what's going on and what your options are before he performs and repairs.I would never work with another handyman again! I had a 70 inch HDTV hung on my living room wall. The bracket was complicated to allow for full articulation. Jeff and Dino took extra care to get it exactly right. All the wires are hidden and I am thrilled with the result. They show up on time, use care to do the job properly and clean up all debris. The price was very fair for the amount of work involved.
