Very good service friendly, helpful driver's. I use to use another local taxi firm but they messed up and then expect me to pay for their mistakes, I'm sticking with A1 - local fare £4.80.

I really cannot say it enough love this taxi firm real gentlemen. All the drivers are so helpful. Their cars are spotless and sometimes they arrive in seconds (only had this the once but it was funny)

Taxi was on time, actually it arrived a few minutes early, fare was as expected for the 10minute journey. The taxi driver (of a Grey Skoda Superb Reg SW62 NAE) assigned to me was an amazing driver. I got picked up in time and dropped off at the location in Bedford. Even though I couldn't find the building I was looking for in that area once we arrived the driver waited until I found the building and then dropped me in front of that building and left. Great service, and always is, but this time was exceptional on booking particularly. I rang to book a taxi to the train station for work and without me saying anything other than the time, they booked the correct pickup and drop-off, then sent me a confirmation text whilst on the phone. I have used guts for schools run which I take seriously, and I always have peace of mind but Also used for newyears etc and if I had issues they have always spoken to the drivers so more than I have asked best taxi firm in bedford and I also worked in marketing do am hard pleased!

Not sure where the bad reviews come from. Always been on time with friendly drivers even with agreed early (4am) pickups. Have dug me out of a bad morning of oversleep really promptly. Reasonable prices.

Left new iPhone in the back of cab... thought we wouldn't see it again... I rang A1 cars and once they found the phone they rang me to let me know it was found and I collected from them a few hours later. .. there service was excellent taxi only took 5 mins to collect us on a Saturday night so we were impressed there especially as we were going from Bedford to Potton a good 40min journey at times

I haven't actually been taken anywhere yet, I'm new to the area, I'm an immigrant from across the border (Cambridgeshire!) and I have been welcomed by the people of Bedford, thank you x such friendly, helpful people . I have been impressed by A1, because they actually do what they say! How very novel and refreshing. I'm impressed by their online booking system- that's new, to me at least. Also, my residents here at Homebrook House always ask me to call A1 if they need a taxi, I'm told they're always helpful, so I thought I'd try them for myself. I needed to get to Gatwick airport and called A1.
Very easy to book over the phone the operator was brilliant and very polite.
Driver arrived early and was very polite, put all the cases in the boot himself and was really
smartly dressed.
The Mercedes minibus was immaculate and very clean. plenty of space for 8 people and luggage.
Price was the best out of 8 other companies.
Will use 100% again and again
