Great convention, the magicians you meet are friendly open to sharing ideas and the majority of the acts are really good! The Friday night show this year was exciting for other reasons, the Saturday Gala show was great ! The comedy and variety first class entertainment, an act that won IBM and SAM conventions and fooled Penn and Teller! It was a show I will remember for the rest of my life! This convention is one of the biggest, little conventions in that they get big acts with great lectures (Denny Denny Corby gave a really smart business lecture that made it worth way more than the registration fee) yet feels small, like a local magic meeting (a good one!) What a great group of magicians. I had the pleasure of lecturing and performing for the MAES convention this year and I had a really great time meeting new people, seeing old friends, and seeing some awesome magic.
