How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
We can help establish the relevant requirements for your property as it may be possible to convert your loft conversion under Permitted Development regulations. If you would like to add extra living space, increase the value of your home and avoid the stress of moving, we offer loft conversions that are of the highest quality in terms of design, craftsmanship and sustainability. Our work will not only give you additional space but will enhance both your property and your lifestyle.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
There are four main types of loft conversions and the type we recommend for your property will depend on a number of factors – property style, roof height, available space, conservation area, local planning regulations, your budget and needs.
Loft conversion process:
We will prepare a quotation for you to review and upon acceptance, will arrange a meeting with our Architect and determine the best loft design based on the property and your needs. The next step is to apply (where necessary) for Planning Permission, Party Wall Agreements and Building Control. At A.Z we coordinate all the information required and once in place, will agree a date to commence your works. We will book a Prestart Meeting to introduce you to your Foreman and Project Manager, and schedule the scaffolding to be erected. Once done, materials will be ordered and the works started. Your office-based Project Manager will visit your project every week/fortnight (depending on the stage of works) and keep you informed on the progress to ensure your loft is built exactly as you are expecting.

We have many years of experience serving mainly South and West London and have now branched out to offer our services to other parts of the city . Unlike most loft and extension management companies we offer a better-designed loft conversion or kitchen extension through our many years of experience with interior designers and ARB and RIBA architects. We also provide Office-Based Project Managers who will visit your project occasionally (depending on the stage of your works) and keep you up to date with the progress of your build to make sure your loft or extension is built exactly as you are expecting.
