A Pane in the Glass did a full replacement of all my original double-hung windows, replaced 2 patio doors, and some custom insulated glass along with siding work on my 1920's house in Hopkins. The crew was extremely professional and always kept the job site clean and neat. They worked hard to stay within my budget and were very reasonably priced. I had all my windows replaced in my 1927 home in Columbia Heights. Where most other companies wanted to charge an arm and a leg, A Pane came in and wrote up a very competitive and more detailed estimate than the others. Recently I sold my home and the sale was pending on two window seals getting replaced. Between my normal full time job, two kiddos, preparing for two other homes to close at the end of the month (I'm a Realtor) I had little time or energy to do research but got a referral for A Pane in the Glass for the window repairs. I am so incredibly thankful as they were fast, very affordable, extremely professional and even at the last minute the closing got moved  up a week early they didn't hesitate to accommodate me. High quality work! We had several older double hung windows replaced with much better looking casement windows and a very bad condition bay window replaced as well. Process was smooth, easy and friendly at all times. At no point did I have any worries or concerns about the professionalism of A Pane in the Glass to be in our home and in fact most of the time we left them alone while we went to work.

We did not want to go with either of the two companies that advertise on television: the national brand name was too expensive, and the bargain shop had too many complaints about poor workmanship. My husband and I were pleased with the process, from the initial meeting with the genuine salesman Dave who happily revised the estimate as we kept changing our minds, to having my many email questions answered professionally and quickly by Beth, to the owner Allen taking measurements on a Saturday morning, to installer Todd and Casey who did perfectionist’s finishing work in painting, caulking, etc. of the windows. It was nice to trust and support locally owned business that takes pride in their work.

Having windows replaced is expensive so you want the job done right for a fair price. I recommend Pane in the Glass to anyone considering a small or large window replacement project. More...

Allen and his crew from A Pane in the Glass Construction were amazing. They also had the best price, but that isn't why I went with them. I appreciated the no pressure, answer all your questions and when you're ready attitude. They were professional, thorough, respectful and I really can't say enough good things about them. They installed 7 windows and 2 patio doors for me on the coldest days of the year so far. That didn't deter them, as they completed it on time. A Pane in the Glass, LLC has a knowledgable, responsive and courteous staff. They have a variety of window options to suit any budget and do not try to oversell. Their installation team is very quick but they do a thorough, careful job, making sure the product you're receiving is the best quality. Our new set of energy efficient windows look amazing and arrived just in time for winter. We look forward to working with them again soon (they have doors too!)

Update: A Pane in the Glass, LLC came back to do our entryway door early this year and it looks spectacular! Their quote was much fairer than the corporate competition. The entryway is now one of our favorite things about our home. More...

I have finally found a Window and Company I Love. They open and close smoother and the security latches are superior to my first two window manufacturers. The Customer Service surpasses the other two by far. Assistance with window selection, working within your budget and schedule, incredibly nice, polite, NEAT & CLEAN crew, you will not go wrong when you call A Pane in the Glass, they are #1 in my book. Not only have they installed windows in my home but they have made my 3 season porch into a 4 season porch with floor to ceiling Double-Hung windows and a Triple-Pane patio door and at an amazing price! I couldn't have been happier with A Pane in the Glass from the first visit by Justin and throughout the entire construction project. We were looking for replacement windows to replace our original 1950's windows. Living on a very busy road - reduction of noise was so much more important than energy efficiency. Justin was the only sales rep who seemed to understand that. He talked with us for quite awhile to understand what we needed, he then made recommendations, showed us a couple of samples and finished with an itemized estimate. He is the only rep we talked to who understood what we needed.

About 6 weeks later our windows were in and construction began. The first day was a crew of 4 or 5 men who were respectful, efficient and very talented in what they did. They covered all the floors with drop cloths and within the first hour they had removed several of the old windows and were already working on inserting new. They were even friendly with our dog Daisy - every single worker talked to her when they came through. She relaxed right away.

The next two days were pretty much the same but with only 2 - 3 men. By the end of the 2nd day all the windows had been replaced, on the 3rd day they did most of the finishing and worked on the outside. That 3rd day the weather got pretty bad so they wrapped up but returned within a week to finish up.

I love our new windows. We can barely hear the traffic outside now - in the past it could be so loud that you couldn't hear the television. I highly recommend A Pane in the Glass - they were the best company we have worked with in a long time.

they repaired 3 small panes of glass in divided windows and fixed 13 windows with various sash cord and sash weight problemsAl came out within 20 minutes after I called him to do an estimate on 3 small panes of glass repair. I asked if they fix sash cords also even though I had planned to have a handyman come in to do them. The estimate he gave me was an incredible value. We got 13 windows with various sash cord and sash weight problems fixed for $390 (the additional $110 was for repair on 3 small panels in divided windows).
