I have a strong belief in the positive nature of all human beings, as well as the uniqueness and worth of every individual; we all deserve respect for our capacity to choose our own directions in life and express ourselves genuinely. An open and safe space for self-discovery and reflection is of utmost importance to personal growth and finding true happiness.
I own a small private practice where I treat a variety of mental health struggles specializing in addiction and co-occurring trauma and disorders, adjustment and grief difficulties and codependency within relationships. From a trauma-informed perspective I help clients through processes of self-exploration and holistic healing to empower them to overcome personal obstacles that improve their experiences, relationships and lives. I am pending application as an LPCC (Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate credential) in Colorado and will being applying for my LAC (Licensed Addiction Counseling credential) this summer. I am also completing hours so that I will be able to offer Acudetox services both in groups and individually as an adjunct to talk therapy and, in some cases, a powerful alternative to medication for individuals experiencing cravings, anxiety, depression and sleep difficulties.
My intention is to create a space and relationship, human to human, that offers safety, the potential for self-exploration and the gathering of courage to help people make the changes they want to make. I find that I am able to work really well with individuals that have some difficulty with ascribing to traditional programs of recovery, offering them support in finding and forging their own path as they make decisions about what their personal story of recovery is going to look like. I believe that discovering personal power and the ability to live a life that is too full of self-love, connection and joy to leave any room for whatever has been holding you back.
