Oh dear amazing God...I just want to leave a note for Dr. Lockhart of A New Day Pediatric. Thank you to Dr. Lockhart for being you. ........... God knows... Dr. Lockhart really touched our family's heart specifically for our daughter who was battling Sickle Cell Disease through it's management and transplant. My then 6-7 year old daughter and now 18 years have always spoke highly of you. Over the last ten years; I have searched the net/social media until now trying to find you....We love you so much and WILL NEVER FORGET your kindness and professionalism you showed us when our daughter Carol almost faced death. You indeed prepared us throughout her transplant journey!!. Carol is doing well, recovered from transplant and is now attending college completing her first year at University of California, Los Angels (UCLA). She finally published her Sickle Cell Survivor book now on Amazon called "I am a Sickle Cell Survivor: Ten Years and Still Counting". In the book, Carol narrates her experiences with you!!! Dr. Lockhart is a fabulous psychologist. She has impeccable interpersonal and communication skills. I met her during a training she provided at an agency I work at. Within minutes I felt very connected to her. She is very skilled in her craft! Dr. Lockhart is an amazing psychologist. During my predoctoral psychology internship she served in the role of my supervisor. Dr. Lockhart was also willing to hear my concerns and offer opportunities for me to consider other options. Dr. Lockhart was the true example of balancing personal and professional life while incorporating self-care. A vivid memory I'll always hold dear is how she was candid and transparent in all our conversations. Thus, when I stumbled across an obstacle that appeared overwhelming personally and or professionally, I knew I had an ear that would listen and not judge me.
