My name is Aimee, and I am a qualified person-centred counsellor. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
We can experience emotional difficulties and unpleasant feelings at some time during our life, now and then they can progress, becoming overwhelming or unmanageable, we don’t know what to do or where to turn.
Often we can get feelings of something being wrong but can't understand or work out what it could be. Sometimes talking to friends and family can help, but if that isn’t an option, or doesn't feel like it is helping, then it may be time to look at counselling.
I aim to provide a warm, non judgemental relationship where you can feel comfortable to explore your thoughts and feelings. Offering this will allow you to get to the core of what is troubling you. It can help you understand why you may act in certain ways and help the process of positive change.
Through working together we will explore your current difficulties and uncover links between your past and present experiences. Doing so can help give you a better understanding of how you are feeling and why, and in turn will assist you to make positive and lasting change.
If you would like to come and see me for counselling, I will work with you in a client-centred way, understanding your experiences from your point of view, positively valuing you as a person without judgement. Person-centred counselling can help you to feel accepted and understand your own feelings better.
I offer a free 30 minute session with no obligation to continue counselling. During this, we can discuss your needs and see if we are able to work together. It is important that you find the right counsellor for you.
