I can't recommend AFFOE highly enough! We just got married a week ago and our friends can't stop talking about the food and the service and how amazing it was! From the first phone call, Jasmine, Chiara, the chefs and the staff have been 100% professional, helpful, patient, cheerful, punctual and everything else we could have asked for, and the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. It was so nice to find a caterer that shares the values we have around food and sourcing, and to know that most if not all of what was served came from local farms. The whole experience was so much less stressful than we imagined it would be, and if we ever (!?) decide to throw a party again we'll absolutely be back! THANK YOU to everyone at Fork Full! More...

These extraordinarily talented, caring, respectful, passionate, gracious, and wonderful people made the dining experience at our daughter's wedding memorable, delicious, fun, beautiful, and something we hope to repeat for future special occasions. We had many special needs and requests, including food allergies to avoid, preferred foods, religious dietary restrictions, and family recipes which we wished to include to honor and care for our loved ones. The AFFOE team listened patiently, was calm and supportive, and creatively exceeded our wildest wedding food dreams in their execution of our requests. We have heard from so many guests that the food was the best they've ever tasted at a wedding, and we agree. We love that the suppliers include many of our favorite local organic growers who we see often at farmers' markets. The tasting was so much fun, and very impressive, and each skillful professional with whom we came into contact demonstrated a personal interest in making us comfortable and happy. This is an amazing team, and it is a true privilege to work with them. Thank you so very much, A Fork Full of Earth. We will be calling you when we plan our next celebration. More...

We are SO happy we chose AFFOE to cater for our wedding! We had a spectacular experience with the tasting, and the food didn't disappoint at the wedding, either.  We received so many compliments on how good the food and service were during the reception. They were super easy to communicate with in the months leading up to the wedding, and their coordination with our rental company was seamless. They were incredibly accommodating regarding any dietary restrictions and table arrangements that we requested. We didn't get much of a chance to eat during the wedding itself,  but they packed us plates to go and we got to enjoy the delicious meal and reminisce the next day. Our only regret is not getting to taste the desserts because we were too busy enjoying our mini ice cream cake during the reception! Wish we could eat food catered by AFFOE every day!!! More...

A Fork Full of Earth catered my graduation party with their delicious appetizers!! We chose- the wild mushroom phyllo tartlets ( LOVED THESE! )- fingerling potato salad (great summer bbq salad option)- garden and edible flower salad (delicious dressing) - stuffed black mission fig (seasonal and perfect balance of sweet and savory!)- mini king crab bite (my favorite--so delicious and the sauce was even better with it!)They were running early, but since we were still setting up the house and didn't have the table ready to put the food out they were kind enough to wait for the original scheduled time to deliver the food! Loved their patience with me when I was having a difficult time choosing which appetizers I wanted! FFOE proved me wrong 100 times over. Their farm-to-table locally sourced ingredients were fresh and flavorful.  The meal tasted like something that would have been served at a SF restaurant rather than a large party.  In addition to the fabulous food, the service was excellent. As one of the hosts, the guests repeatedly asked for the caterer's contact information for their own events. The rave reviews continue to come in. I cannot recommend FFOE strongly enough. More...

Working with them for my wedding was such a pleasure!Jasmine was always so responsive and friendly - always answering our questions quickly and thoroughly. The food was amazing. It was very important to us that we had an all vegetarian wedding, and Fork Full hit the nail on the head with a more flavorful, delicious, and beautiful vegetarian wedding menu than I could have ever dreamed of. We received so many compliments on the food throughout the night, and even some of the pickiest eaters in our group said that it was one of the best meals they had ever had. The service was also fantastic. The wait staff was very attentive to our guests, and careful of allergies or other guest needs. It was so nice to be able to relax knowing that the wait staff was taking great care of our guests. When you book Fork Full as your caterer for your wedding, you also have the option of hiring their event coordinator, Chiara, as a month-of-coordinator for an additional fee. I can't speak highly enough of Angela and her crew.  My husband and I recently had a party to celebrate our marriage(we eloped, but finally caved to peer pressure from The Mothers to have a party). The goal of our party was to gather 35 of our closest friends and family together and eat extraordinary food and drink extraordinary wine. We chose to have the event at a small artist's studio that had very limited cooking facilities(it had a sink and a fridge).  Angela was able to prepare a KILLER feast with very little cooking equipment. Our menu was:  endive wedge salad(the dressing was amazing)ribolita(I consider myself a ribolita snob and hers was out of control good)mushroom ragout(OMG if I have only one day left to live I want to eat only this dish)duck (YES, get the duck)and a tomato tatin(delicious, especially considering she made tatin for 35 in a counter-top convection oven) The dinner seamlessly incorporated vegetarian dishes(the only meat we had was the duck) and made all of our guests of various food sensitivities happy and full. If you have an event and want terrific food talk to Angela.  I  work with some of the larger caterers in San Francisco for my job and there is NO WAY they would be able to wrap their heads around doing a meal like this.  Also, Angela is capable, mellow, and adapts to changing conditions really well. My husband and I only tried out one other caterer, which was "enh" as can be expected of most caterers, before we had a tasting with Angela. People say that no one talks about the food from a wedding. We knew as soon as we tasted her food that that wouldn't be true of ours! Angela cooks fantastic, organic, mostly local food and doesn't charge you an arm and a leg for it, either. She was super responsive by phone and email, had us back for two more tastings for free, and worked with us to figure out how to make the dinner within our budget. She also managed all the rentals (linens, etc.), and was extraordinarily calm when days before our wedding, our venue called to let us know they had 50 fewer chairs than they had told us they had. She also made us warm, homemade cookies at the end of our first tasting, and really, that's all you need to do to win me over. I reached out to Angela to handle a difficult situation: Cater for 100+ people for a two-hour nonprofit event for high-profile donors and sponsors, in a venue with no heated kitchen and a budget of $2500 or less. Angela and her team handled it like a CHAMPION. The lead-up to the event was sort of crazy. We had varying head-counts; realized a week ahead of time that we'd need rentals for plates, champagne flutes and wine glasses; realized that we'd need caterers to handle a bunch of our trash; handled payment at the last-minute.....everything was down to the wire. Angela handled every request like a pro. She had a genuine desire to get every last detail right, and find creative solutions to every complication that arose. On top of that, she had tons of patience, and was more than willing to answer all of my questions/requests.Chef Mark came to the event itself, where he and Christina (I think?) served three charcuterie platters full of organic cheeses, meats, dried fruits, nuts, and homemade jams. The food was AWESOME - the best charcuterie plate I've ever had. All fresh, hand-picked, organic ingredients, chosen with great care and great love. They also paid extra attention to the ebb and flow of the food platters, and made sure to replenish/restock whenever the need arose. Our guests were over the moon. They created an event that was super classy, but warm and inviting at the same time.My only critique is that I wish I'd ordered a little bit more food! The three platters theoretically serve 120 people for appetizers; 65 people actually showed up in the end, and the platters were pretty much gone by the end. (There was a little bit left). Had more than 70 showed up, I probably would've ran out. I think our guests were hungrier than we thought - but also, the food was so incredible that people kept going back for more. The party went perfectly, but in the future, I'll probably order more - rather than less - knowing how quickly it goes once it's there. You'll never find caterers this good for this cheap. Rather than be greeted with "Merry Christmas" or even "Hi" this was how I was acknowledged at a recent holiday party:  "HAVE YOU TRIED THE MEATBALLS "  followed by all sorts of slathering meatball praise.  And it  didn't just come from one person.  Everywhere I turned, "HAVE YOU TRIED THE MEATBALLS "  As far as meatballs go, my loyalties lie with Snooki and Deena but Fork Full of Earth is right up there alongside.  And, though I did like their meatballs, I honestly couldn't pick out any reason to rave about them above all of the other delights that kept coming at me.  This catering company prepares and presents beautiful food beautifully.  Sort of like what I'd expect if Zuni Cafe and Chez Panisse went into the catering business together.  If I were in charge of an event I'd call here immediately rather than wasting my time bothering with competitors.  There's those meatballs (lamb and pinenut with tzatziki dipping sauce and house cured olives), yes, but also a ton of other goodness such as:  * Slow Baked Wild Salmon, crusted in winter herbs with lemon aioli atop flatbread crackers*Bruschetta of "Pressed pear with brie and pistachio" and  "Wild mushroom, chevre, and thyme". * Artisan cheese board served with local breads and house made embellishments* Prosciutto wrapped Bay prawns with candied tomato cocktail sauce* Roasted root vegetable skewers, with dry cured olives & pomegranate glaze* Pastry tartlets filled with dried figs and Pt. Reyes Blue cheese, tarragon* Wild arugula salad with persimmon, toasted almonds and cherry balsamic vinaigrette* Mulled cherry apple ciderIf you have something that needs catering focus on other tasks that need doing.  You're catering needs have been answered. I can't rave enough about "A Fork Full". My company hired Angela to provide food for our picnic lunch after a kayaking trip on Tomales Bay. WOW, was it delicious! The care and thoughtfulness that went into packaging the food in a way that was convenient for transport and serving picnic-style made the event run even more smoothly. Bonus star points for choosing organic ingredients and for providing us with compostable and reusable utensils and serving dishware. We look forward to contracting with her in the future. More...

Angela and her staff put care and attention into every detail of our dinner for 100 guests from start to finish. From the first phone call to the final presentation and fabulous service at our wedding (which got unexpectedly rained on! ), every moment was easy and enjoyable from our end.Above all else, working with Angela is a pleasure because she puts so much love into creating and executing her delicious menus and prioritizes how she communicates with clients.Together, we designed a vegetarian meal with a flavor profile that was exciting, varied, balanced and above all delicious. Our guests couldn't get enough, but even after multiple helpings there was still more than enough leftover. We were impressed! Our personal favorites were the pearl couscous salad with mushrooms and corn, bean & lentil salad, and her famous fatoush! Many of our guests commented that it was the first wedding where they'd seen the couple sit down for a hearty meal at their own dinner, and trust me we wouldn't have had it any other way! More...

I far prefer a food vendor at a festival who has one strong specialty rather than half a dozen or so mediocre menu options.  Angela & her team focus on creating delicious salads using local/organic ingredients and topped with the most delicious salad dressings.  The salads these ladies made at the New Living Expo were generous, varied and delicious.  I walked to visit other vendor-friends and shared the salad with them so they could taste the wonderful dressings and everyone was impressed (I hope they went to get salads today!).  Everyone was super friendly and efficient - highly recommended! City of Dreams throws a Gala every year at the Bentley Reserve in downtown San Francisco Financial district. Where over 800 guest attend to support and donate. This year we had "A Fork Full" cater the event serving an appetizer salad with goat cheese and apple chutney, Yummmmmm...  Everyone at the event was raving about the uniqueness of the taste, how delightful the catering company was and how we have to have them back next year. I would just like to thank A Fork Full for above and beyond service and we can't wait to have you back next year. More...

Really awesome. Short notice, incredibly responsive and collaborative. Got it right for my small work gathering with fresh, innovatively-combined ingredients. Vegetable side dish was incredible, and the simple mac and cheese sauce was a hit. The homemade ice cream sandwiches really carried the day though! Timely and great to work with in person, and so sensitive to the environment, and in-house dynamic at my place (clean-up included). I'd recommend Angela for others! More...

wow! I am so happy to have found Fork full of earth to cater my wedding. I had a better than great experience working with Angela. All through the prep stages, she was so helpful with her expertise from other events on flow and timing. We were always in constant communication and she was so flexible to all my request. Then came the wedding- OMG. The food was beyond good!!!! Everyone couldn't get enough of Angela's goodies. She made a wonderful experience for both vegans and meat eaters to be happy (thats a tremendous feat!). Her staff was so nice and it was so great having such amazing people helping put on our special day. It makes a huge difference working with vendors that are kind, and Angela is just that. Great service, amazing food, and pleasant people to work with- I couldn't have asked for anything more. You would be out of your mind not to check fork full of earth out. The price was so reasonable and Angela's local and sustainable values are present in her food. Thank you so very much Angela! More...

I had a great experience with Angela of Fork Full of Earth, even though I ended up not being able to hire her for my wedding  (for reasons that don't have anything to do with her business). She is a very good listener and will shape and plan your event exactly around what you need. Everything will be documented in written form, and she will reply to emails immediately. She is organized and always knows what's going on.I found this to be extremely rare in the catering industry. It makes a big difference! But now to the food: Her food is yummy, healthy, local and well-thought out. She never tired of making adjustments to the menu and changing things around to fit our needs. Here are the items she proposed for my vegetarian wedding:* Mediterranean "Mezza" platter with pita, hummus, pickled onions, roasted bell peppers, garlic bulbs, kalamata olives and marinated feta* Pita and flat bread selection with tahini yogurt dip* Baked summer squash stuffed with house made ricotta and fresh herbs* Heirloom tomato panzanella (bread salad) with fresh mozzarella, basil and roasted eggplant * Potato salad with grilled cipollini onion, fennel and mint* Cold Soup - White gazpacho or Creamy avocado almond * Arugula salad with grilled nectarines, goat cheese and pine nut dressingWe had a tasting and loved what she prepared. It's fresh, artisan, California cuisine. Fork Full of Earth even made the almond milk that was used in the avocado soup herself! If you are looking for an artisan caterer who is open-minded, organized and makes really yummy, potentially vegetarian, food, go for Fork Full of Earth. More...
