I cannot say enough wonderful things about A Feline Inn, and especially about it's owner, Melanie. She is a true professional in every way. We were fortunate to have found her when we moved to Calgary more than 4 years ago. My husband and I travel alot and I never hesitate to leave Cali with Melanie. It is like leaving her with family! I know that she will be pampered and loved while we are traveling. Melanie provides a safe, clean and loving environment for her "guests", they each get plenty of playtime and one on one time while they are there. The enclosures are spacious, temperature controlled, and very clean, with large windows for the kitties. Melanie also posts on instagram so you can check up on your kitty while you travel. Her prices are reasonable and you get top quality care. I am sad that we are about to move from Calgary, but Melanie has been instrumental in helping me with this crazy move. She is working with our cat transporter to facilitate a smooth transition overseas. I truly do not know what we would have done without her these past 4 years! Our family has been using Melanie and A Feline-Inn for two years and absolutely love everything about it! Melanie is very attentive to the cats needs and easy to work with. She cares deeply about her clients and really goes the extra mile for them. When we recently moved Melanie kept our pet while we transitioned to our new home and even dropped him off at westjet for his flight to our new city!!! Now aged eleven, Riley has never left home since arriving at the age of 3 months. He also has nervous disposition. So I was anxious as to how well he would cope with the enforced vacation for the three weeks whilst the hardwood floors were refinished. Melanie runs a very well organised business. Melanie took on the care of our three older "boys", two of whom need pills twice a day. Hemi and Fitz had never been to a boarding kennel before; Andy had been, and behaved badly on that occasion. But Melanie made friends with the problem kitty, and all three of them thrived in her care. My cat Shorty and I have been using A Feline Inn for over 5 years now, and have had nothing but great experiences. This place is incredible. Melanie clearly dedicates every second of her time to the cats... I could head off on vacation and not have a single worry. I'm actually surprised my cat wanted to come home since this place is so amazing. This was the first time we had to kennel Cricket and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! She has a lot of health issues, requiring several medications, but Melanie wasn't fazed, she's used to dealing with "special" cats, and I felt confident that Cricket was going to be very well cared for. The facility is impeccably clean, well equipped and clearly set up for the health, safety and comfort of all their feline guests. Melanie is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about cats, and there is no one I would rather have my fur child stay with while I am away. My cat needs multiple daily medications, and knowing that he is well taken care of and looked after with Melanie puts my mind at ease. My cat is so calm and content each time I pick him up from a stay with auntie Melanie, that I refer to the inn as his little cat spa. The space is spotless, cozy, and extremely secure. We had the best experience with Melanie at A Feline Inn. We had to arrange for Melanie to pick up our cats after we had already left town and were very nervous about leaving them at A Feline Inn without having met Melanie or viewing her facility. Melanie was always in touch with us, and repeatedly assured us that our cats were doing fine, but we had no idea just how happy they were at the Inn until we picked them up. Her facility is extremely impressive and our cats obviously had a relaxing and enjoyable experience. She even took them for walks in a cat stroller! If someone asks me which cattery to choose when I am not at home, I will tell him/her the Feline inn! Melanie is very nice and professional, my cat was not nervous and scared at her place. He even didn't wanna leave when I picked him up! Melanie took very good care of him! She has the form for me to filled out about the details of my cat in order to know more about my cat so that she can look after him well. She is really responsible and professional. Literally,her cattery is very clean and high-tech. It is a very bright beautiful place, each cat has its own room with glasses window and each cat has its own breathing system for its room. Melanie said this can prevent the infectious diseases between cats and I totally agree with her. Also, Melanie plays with every cat and cats will not play together, which made me totally not worry about my cat's health. I put my cat in her cattery when I went to the National Park, and now when I'm back to Ottawa and I find that there's no such a wonderful cattery like hers here! I am really sad about it. Melanie has created a wonderful home away from home for all her feline visitors. Whenever I drop my cat off, I know she is in excellent hands. Every cat gets their own little safe haven and every day Melanie provides each cat with one-on-one time and personal attention. I have been bringing my cat, Theodore here since the late summer of 2015. He spends ten days at the Feline Inn, and ten days home with me. I am pretty sure he likes being at the Inn better than at home. Melanie always takes really good care of him, and he comes home clean and happy. She follows any feeding instructions you give her very carefully, and plays with your cat every day. She is very accommodating of your schedule as well, and usually can find a time for pickup and drop-off that work best for you. The rates are very reasonable, and definitely worth the money. You can tell that Melanie is a real cat fanatic and truly cares about the well-being of your cherished pet. A Feline Inn is a fantastic place to bring your cat. Melanie is incredibly welcoming and does a great job creating a safe and happy temporary home for your cat. Not only that, but she is also willing to send photos and emails to you about your cat while you're gone (if you're a worrier like me).
