Diane is brilliant! As a trainer she is gone over and above for us. After just 2 sessions we have been visually able to see the progress our Harvey is making! Diane’s Harvey is a star too though! 😊 We already have our 3rd session booked and will continue to use Diane for the foreseeable future. More...

Diane is amazing. A month and a half ago our big rescue Bruce was struggling with meeting other dogs following being bitten on the tail, as well as past traumas that we don’t know the details of. He is a three legged, very loving dog but our walker was unable to control him and told us that she would not walk him anymore. I was devastated and felt like I was letting him down. In just a month and a half of walking and training with Diane he has learned to walk off the lead and is almost back to his normal self again with other dogs. I truly thought this would never happen for him and would never have believed that in just a short time I would feel confident to let him off the lead by myself. He is a happy boy again and all thanks to Diane teaching us to listen to Bruce’s needs as well as expecting him to follow our instructions. He is still learning but she has helped him to begin to realise his potential and for that I will always be grateful. More...

Just took my pups over for an overnight stay after their first initial visit. They literally stormed in from excitement! A very good sign indeed. Diane is lovely and very accommodating- i feel comfortable dropping my children off with her and would not consider them staying with anyone else! More...

Basil loves staying with Diane and her family and he is really made to feel at home. Basil has stayed with Diane every time we have gone away on holiday or for weekend breaks since he was a pup. It's such a relief that we don't have to worry about him as he is so well cared for. He loves Diane's dogs and has a great fun playing with Cooper. When Basil and I are out for a walk and we bump into Diane the welcome and love he has for Diane is really touching - she really is Bearsen's own Dog Whisperer. More...

We are so pleased with our loft extension. We now have two extra rooms and a bathroom. The workmanship is excellent, the staircase in particular. It is spectacular and you would not know that the loft has just been added to the house.
All the workman were excellent, punctual and leaving the site clean and tidy. If we had any questions, they were promptly answered and procedures were explained well throughout. We really thought they went out of their way to leave us very happy and content with our loft.
We can highly recommend Jones to anyone who is thinking of having a quality loft extension.

Q&As

Dog’s are my passion, and therefore it’s the best job in the world for me. I love what we do and do what I love. Also being able to make the relationship between dog and owner a better and stronger one gives me a great sense of satisfaction. All dogs deserve to be happy, safe and loved but there is no behaviour from a dog that the owner should have to put up with and that’s why I want to help.

I have always had an affinity with dogs from a young age. I trained my friends and neighbours puppies and dogs and eventually decided that this is what I wanted to do with my life after my children had gown up. I decided to get genuine qualifications on courses and training programmes which are graded on the Open College Network and use up to date training methods, which of course are Force Free. The business has grown from there.

Studied Canine Psychology, Behaviour and Modification (Canine Psychology Centre). Dog Training and Handling (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers - IMDT) I am a qualified trainer with The Dog Training College as a Licensed Canine Body Language Instructor and a Reactivity Specialist.
As already stated above I do not use or condone aversives, the training methods I use gives your dog choices and rewards. This is done the right way and therefore has fast and positive results. I am also able to help if your dog suffers from fear, anxiety, separation distress, or dog to dog or dog to people reactivity. I stay up to date with training and behaviour modification methods by completing the necessary CPD every year to improve my knowledge and skills.
I also trained and qualified in Pet First Aiders (Fitzcharles Training)

I canm, but to be honest, the best way to deliver training or behaviour modification is in person as it is easier to direct the handler mechanics and watch the dog's body language up close. I am happy to comply with all Covid advice and wear a mask if the client would prefer. I am also happy to do the consultation outside too if the client would feel happier.

I carry masks and hand sanitiser with me at all time. Also as above.

Services

I will come to your home to teach you how to resolve the issues your dog has such as toilet training, lack of general obedience, lead pulling, jumping up, barking, lunging, separation distress etc
Each session will last approximately an hour and a half and the number of sessions we have is up to you! The cost of each session is £65 but I do have price reductions for packages bought.

Before you bring your puppy home I will come to your home and talk to you about all things puppy. How to bring your puppy home the right way so that he/she is never travel sick or has a phobia about the car. Toilet training, getting through the first few nights, socialisation etc, what to expect from your puppy and what is expected of you. This session can last up to two hours and costs £85 and is worth every penny!

These classes are currently being held outside on Sundays in Milngavie. It is a six weekly block of one hour lessons and costs £80

I cover all the basic commands but also some very important ones too that can be used in everyday scenarios. I have three levels of classes, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. I am a Force Free Trainer and my methods are very easy to learn and very effective.
