A Canine Experience

We just picked our Chocolate Lab puppy up from two weeks of the 'Board and Train' program and we are so happy with the results! A Canine Experience has been very easy to communicate with throughout the whole process.  We went in for an evaluation first to ensure success with the program.  We all agreed that the Board and Train would be a good way to go.  They have an online portal that you can check on appointments, fill out vet/emergency information and add any notes that might be helpful for their team. Drop-off was easy.  They cataloged everything we brought for her (bed, blanket, toys etc) to ensure we got it back at the end of her time with them.  Part of the fee includes two private lessons with a trainer, the first one being when you pick your pup up from their stay.  We were blown away by the difference in behavior and self-control our pup had.  The trainer took a lot of time with us and made sure all of our questions were answered before concluding the lesson.  The best part? I didn't worry about our pup once when we were away from her.  When we picked her up she was clean, had all her things with her, and still wagging her tail.  It's clear they don't overload with dogs for boarding and know each dog that is on site with them.  We can't wait for our next lesson! We visited unannounced with our two dogs to check it out - our dogs aren't the best behaved, so a meet and greet was in order. We were greeted warmly and given an impromptu tour of the whole place, no questions asked. We weren't pressured to make any reservations or commitment. They are the only people we trust to board our dogs. We have been going there for years, and have never had any problems. You can tell that they really care about the dogs . They take the time to get to know each dog's personality. Our chihuahua is an escape artist, and they ensure that she is secure, so I don't have to constantly worry about her when we are on vacation. We moved to Arizona for two years, and had a horrible experience with a boarder down there. We were so happy when we moved back to Washington to be able to take our dogs back to A Canine Experience! When we first went in for a consultation, we were wanting to do a two week board and train program. I was already apprehensive about leaving my dog with anyone for two weeks, so I was looking for any excuse not to board with them. However, after about five minutes of listening to the trainer, I knew that I absolutely wanted my dog to be trained there. They did not disappoint!! I picked up my dog yesterday and had a very thorough training session. It's amazing how much my dog learned during her two week stay. I have a much better handle on her at home and I no longer feel like she's running the show. I cannot believe the change already! I brought my English Bulldog and Chinese Pug to A Canine Experience for the two week boarding/training and I'm very pleased with the results.  We finally made it back for our follow up lesson and it went great.  I learned lots of great tips, I can tell they love the dogs and I'm comfortable asking them whatever questions I have and they always have great tips.  Thank you so much!!  I just wish they were closer to Maple Valley!! My husband and I were at our wits end when our two male dogs started fighting for our attention. We knew we had to do something to protect the safety of the dogs and our family, but we didn't know where to start. Our dog, Beef, went to A Canine Experience for Board and Train while we went on vacation. When we got back, he had respect for the trainers and us. We are so impressed that we are enrolling our older dog, Meatball. Everyday we continue their training as the work is never done, but we can happily say that we are no longer afraid for our safety or that of our dogs. Everyone at A Canine Experience has been genuine and no BS with us. We will ask questions about our dogs' issues. The trainers understand the pack mentality of dogs and the way different breeds react to certain situations. Their advice has greatly improved our living situation. Walks are more enjoyable without the constant distractions and aggression. Strangers compliment us on our beautiful dogs instead of quickly passing giant barking dogs. Our 4 year old lab mix has significant separation anxiety but both of the times we have boarded him with A Canine Experience we have picked up a relaxed, smiling pup. He loves the play time, their prices are very reasonable, and seeing how well cared for Beo is when we pick him up is the icing on the cake. The staff at canine experience genuinely care about your pet while staying there . We have been taking our dog Percy there for awhile now and she always comes home pooped from running around the massive park they have for the dogs to exercise in . We are always confident that Percy is in good hands when we leave her there while we travel . We also used them to train Percy as well as train our family how to use the commands she learned at training . This training has been invaluable and a great asset in our home as we use learned commands daily such as getting Percy to go to her bed and stay there as well as not jumping on company and many other commands . Fantastic dog trainers and kennel! We boarded our 2 Belgian Malinois dogs and use a positive focussed training method with both of them, utilizing e-collars as markers. The trainers had expert knowledge on the training method and actually gave us a lot of advice to improve our method. The pups came back happy and in very good health after 2 weeks of board and train. After having gone through several training classes and dog sports in the Seattle area, we're convinced A Canine Experience is the best well rounded training location. The staff is polite and very knowledgeable. They clearly stay up to date on the latest training methods and are very experienced. On top of that, they have experience with working breeds and clearly gave our pups proper mental and physical stimulation (which is very difficult to do with such a high energy breed). Though the grounds may look a bit shoddy on first approach, after seeing the grounds and training the dogs there, we realized that the emphasis is on the function rather than the form. All of the areas that the dogs were kept in were in excellent condition, and they had some of the best accommodations that we've seen for working breeds (agility course, GRC spring pole, and a very large field for walks). I've used them twice now. The 1st time was a Board and Train (Summer 2016), for my mastiff and my border collie mix (no longer w/ us), with great results. The 2nd was just boarding (Winter 2019), for my mastiff & 2 other Lg breed dogs while we went on vacation. The staff is very friendly to both people and the animals they care for. My dogs were clean when I picked them up (during Snowpocalypse 2019)...not just had bath clean, (I didn't request or pay for baths), but not covered in dirt & mud. While my dogs were very happy to see me, of course, all 3 of them looked well taken care of. A Canine Experience is an hour away from my house and it's still my 1st choice. More...

I can't say enough good things about Autumn and "A Canine Experience ". Family owned, loves your puppies like they are part of the family. We sent our almost 5 month old boxer Ronda to trained. WOW! What a difference it has been since she's been home. She follows commands and hasn't had any accidents in the house. We called many places that told us “Your dog is showing aggressive tendencies. You have children. Consider putting her down”. We have had our German Shepherd Siberian Husky for almost 5 years now. She is a part of our family. I just couldn’t accept the “Put her down” answer. I called SPOT to see if they could help us and they gave us the name and number of A Canine Experience for some help and better answers. We called and got in for a free evaluation right away. I’m so glad that we did! We signed her up for the two week training and dropped her off. Two weeks later we picked her up and I was in tears. Her attitude has completely changed. There is NO aggression at all, she is happy, fun and loving, her behavior is amazing, she is obeying, and the kids actually want to play with her now. She is more than anything I could ever imagine.
