A Bit Of A Do were recommended to us by our wedding venue, Hatton Village Hall - and they were well worth the rave reviews! Unfortunately due to a family bereavement we had to cancel our December 2016 wedding. As we cancelled the day before the wedding was the day before the wedding, it was too late to cancel catering (provided by another supplier), so with family and friends having travelled as far away as Australia, I decided to have a "gathering". Ian was very understanding during what was a very difficult time, he provided glasses for those attending the gathering and very kindly refunded me for what I hadn't used. We rearranged the wedding earlier this year and finally got married a couple of weeks ago! Once again, we experienced the same fantastic service - great communication, on time in both delivery and collection and everything was just really easy! Ian and Jan catered for our wedding a couple of weeks ago. They had also catered for my Brother's wedding last year. The afternoon tea was excellent. There was lots of choice and everybody, including vegans, had been catered for. It was we presented on vintage plates, cups and saucers etc. The evening food was a hot buffet . All food was homemade, and again, all tastes had been catered for. The ladies that served the food couldn't have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble. They were all professional and friendly. I can't recommend A Bit Of A Do enough.....our guests are still talking about it now��!! More...

Ian & Jan catered for our Dad’s 90th Birthday party at the weekend. They were superb, everything was laid out beautifully including vintage tea sets. They bought out a lovely selection of sandwiches & cakes and were very attentive in keeping the tea, coffee & food topped up for everyone. They also cleared everything away at the end. It was such a wonderful, stress free afternoon and my Dad really enjoyed his party. Thank you so much, we would highly recommend. More...
