Our sweet pup, Honey Bear, has been the most hyperactive dog we've ever owned. Bringing her into a house with an already established senior dog and cat has been tough, and Cynthia has been instrumental in helping us navigate integrating her into our life. She's been able to coach us on identifying our dog's non-verbal queues to go outside when we struggled with Honey Bear not being vocal about her own needs. I've been so impressed by the small but mighty group of staff Cynthia has procured. It's evident to me that Cythia's passion for what she does is what really makes the difference for dogs who may not succeed with training elsewhere. Thank you for being an ally to our family! THE BEST DECISION IN MY LIFE EVER onboarding my pet, Demie(Italian Greyhound), with Cynthia and Matt. She lacked confidence and was very afraid of the world. I tried a lot of trainings on my own and I failed. I didn't know what to do and why she barks at everything at that moment. Cynthia and Matt explained about her behaviors every single details so I can understand Demie more why she acted like that. I had multiple follow-up lessons as well for me to get trained how to train my pet. Cynthia took great care of Demie even when she hang out with other small dogs. I felt her sincere love for dogs. Their training skills are really professional, systematic, and detailed oriented trainers. Please don't hesitate if you are looking for dog trainers. More...

We were having behavioral issues with our Corso and honestly had no idea what to do. It was our first time with the breed and we couldn’t find a trainer that understood how serious our concerns were and that our specific Corso needed more than a simple place command and some treats in public. We stumbled upon A Better Bond Dog Training and immediately knew. Cynthia was amazing! We never felt judged once during our private lessons. She helped us understand more than how to make our dog sit. She explained the tiniest of details that we were missing with our dog. His training will be continuous for the rest of his life but we feel so much more confident knowing that Cynthia and A Better Bond Dog Training will be there if anymore concerns come up down the road. I understand the importance of the breed now and I HIGHLY recommend A Better Bond Dog Training. If I ever get another Corso I will definitely be consulting with Cynthia. More...

Long over due for this review! I had a coworker send his dog to Cynthia in Houston so he recommended her to me when she moved to the Austin area. Our senior dog is getting older so my boyfriend and I decided it was time to add a another dog to our family. We adopted a younger dog (around 2 years old) and quickly realized we needed some help with obedience training. We love to take our older dog to dog friendly places/do off leash hikes so it was important to us for Cleo to be able to do the same! After a helpful phone consultation with Cynthia we decided to move forward with the 4 week Foundations board and train. Wow was it worth every penny!! Cleo still has her silly personality but now we know how to clearly communicate with her and set her up for success. I now take her to all dog friendly stores and she is a lovely citizen who always receives compliments. Her mindset is much calmer when she meets new people (before she would jump on guests) and walking her on a leash is a breeze. I truly believe that we have a better bond with our dog thanks to Cynthia. Not only does she lay a good foundation with the dog, she teaches the owners how to communicate with them which is one of the most important components to enjoying life with your dog. Any dog we adopt in the future will most definitely be going to a board and train with her! More...

Cynthia was recommended to us by another trainer and we found her to be a great fit immediately. We had just adopted our dog, Ranger, from a shelter and knew we needed immediate help. Ranger had been in a shelter for the majority of his life and had no idea how to function in a home, on top of being a chronically anxious dog. Soon after meeting with Cynthia, we hired her to board and train Ranger. We count ourselves and Ranger overwhelmingly lucky to have had Cynthia enter our lives. You could not ask for a more patient and methodical trainer that genuinely loves dogs. Ranger still has a way to go to being wholly at peace in his new environment, but it has honestly been such a stark, fantastic improvement from the first day he came home from the shelter. He truly is doing so well. Cynthia really focused on his well-being and setting him up for foundational success. I cannot recommend Cynthia enough. If you need help with your dog, no matter the issue, you would be hard pressed to find any other trainer that is so dedicated to your dog living it's best life. We genuinely look forward to continuing to work with Cynthia and would seriously urge others to do so. Cynthia - you are amazing and you deserve all of the praise and thanks. :) More...

My doggie had a bit of a 'ruff' life before me, unfortunately I don't know much about what happened before. After the transition home from college and her first heat cycle, she wasn't acting right - trying to defend or attack new people, wasn't walking well on a leash, and didn't play well with her previous doggie friends, guarding her toys and food. I interviewed trainers - one even said I just needed to EXERCISE her more!!! I was baffled at this, but Cynthia talked me through options, and after meeting with her I didn't need to meet with anyone else - I booked immediately. Rylee's training took a little longer because of the situation, but Cynthia really did her do-diligence, even through some tough personal events. She was open with me and kept me in the loop. Rylee was a different dog when I got her back, it was incredible. She's still got some training and lots of work to do on my end to earn her trust and build our relationship, but Cynthia continues to help me work towards Rylee and I being where we want. Behavior modification cases may take a bit longer, it's not an overnight fix! But it's absolutely worth every cent. More...
