This is a place that will help change you for the better. Every time I come to class, I feel like I learn something new about myself that I didn’t know beforeThe coaches, the students, the structure of the classes, the emphasis on the details, the discipline you learn, and the bond you develop with one another are just a few of the reasons why this place is special

8 venoms is the best place to learn MMA! I have known about the instructor from referral from other parents and I knew, instantly, I want my children to learn from him. He gives the children a good balance of fun and discipline during the class. He, not only, works on teaching and improving their craft but also teaches them to be respectful and responsible individuals. We have been only been members for a few months but I have seen my children ages 5,6,8 learn so much in such a short period of time. I am not all about medals, or belts but as long as my children are consistently learning and improving, and enjoying the process, that’s all the matters to me. I highly recommend this place to everyone! More...

Coach Gian is amazing! I trained with him for a year right before I went to college because I felt that self defense would be useful. I rarely missed a class back then and he was always encouraging. To be honest, I was scared to join because of the preconceived notions I had about the sport. Muay Thai can be seen as an aggressive + male dominated sport. I'm pretty shy and uncoordinated. However, the classes had and still have a fair amount of women of all skill levels to partner up with. The best part is, everyone encourages each other to do better! It is always great to get partnered up with an assistant instructor during class because they are able to critique bad form while you're practicing. Now that I've graduated from college, I'm back training under Coach Gian and Coach Joe. Classes nowadays are more diverse than ever! Both Krus (Kru means teacher/instructor in Thai) have different personalities and therefore push classes to excel in their own way. In class, we usually start off by jumping rope. It is a rigorous few minutes of exercise that still leaves me out of breath. Afterwards, we partner up so that one person holds pads and the other person will practice moves/combos on the pads. The first class I attended after joining again left me sore all over for a few days! Not practicing for a few years made me lose my stamina and skill. Learning it all over again as someone who is uncoordinated is a humbling experience, NOT a humiliating one. Everyone is respectful and willing to help. Time and time again it is reiterated to me by both Krus that it doesn't matter how hard I'm able to punch or kick. What really matters is that I'm trying to make my form correct. After that, strength and speed will inevitably come. Oh yah, their gym is clean and includes showers in both male and female lorckerrooms. Outside of the gym has plenty of parking space. The Krus try to have team bonding activities, like Friendsgiving. We're more than just a gym here at 8Venoms, we're a family! More...

8 Venoms - Sound threatening? It should. Muay Thai is a sport that turns your limbs into weapons. But threatening is the last adjective I would use to describe the Kru's teaching methods. These guys are masters of the art and have a keen and approachable way of disseminating their knowledge in the sport. Great classes, class schedule and equipment -all levels train in this Muay Thai mecca training facility. Good place to train, increase physical strength, stamina and strategy within the sport. Muay Thai is such an incredible martial art/sport. It challenges you physically and mentally. It's IMO the best form of cardio and I've tried all sorts of workouts over the years (crossfit, powerlifting, swimming, HIIT, etc. ) I am a true beginner at Muay Thai and this gym really provides me a great environment to learn. Not only do the coaches care but all of the members also treat you like family. Not all gyms (Muay Thai and not) have this type of environment and for me to have found a place like this, I am grateful. The lessons you learn come up again and again in future classes so you're consistently practicing. This location completes evaluations and have a ranking system, which honestly helps me understand my peers and work harder. Also, the gym participates in other non-gym activities such as beach days or 2 mile runs, and it's nice to see the members participate willingly. If you are willing to put in some work and want a fitness family, come try out a free class!! More...

This is no ordinary academy, club, or gym. The instructors are excellent--skilled, smart, funny, articulate, and caring. I am always impressed by their ability to explain the most complicated combinations of this discipline with such clarity...it almost sounds easy. Their positivity, support, and camaraderie nurtures an environment where the students are more like family than members practicing combat. From my vantage point as a spectator parent, I have witnessed students of all ages stand taller, smile brighter, and be better through the rigorous training meted out by Gian, Joe, and the rest of the crew. No matter how hard the days, my son leaves in pain--certainly--but ALWAYS happy. 8 Venoms is the BEST and continues only to get better. I cannot recommend them high enough. If you are considering trying Muay Thai, absolutely--you should come to 8-Venoms. More...

Cannot recommend 8 Venoms Muay Thai highly enough. Kru Gian and Kru Joe know their striking explaining every step of why they use this strike, the movement, and the mechanics. They mix up the best of boxing, dutch kickboxing, and classic muay thai to give you the best of everything. They are both super knowledgeable and extremely funny as well. They also have the perfect balance of martial arts discipline and fun. They work you out, teach technique and always come around to make sure you are doing it correctly. There is also a great sense of community; even from my first trial class, other students were already ingratiating me, introducing themselves, and having conversations. Kru Gian also makes himself completely available answering as many questions as you have, even the billion I had for him. Having been to other striking/kickboxing/karate programs, 8 venoms is the best I have seen. I cannot speak highly enough. Highly highly recommend! More...

I went from western style boxing for 8 years, to proudly making the change towards a different style of martial arts. I did my research on Muay Thai before making my choice on whether to continue on with boxing or make a massive change to what I was acustomed to. During my free week, I was welcomed by a tough friendly humble team of men and women, they respected my style and gave me the proper tips to utilize my hand throwing skills into a proper traditional Muay Thai style, it’ll be a little tough getting used to, but I made the choice and I’m not backing down from it, especially with their sincere supporting. Crew Gian greeted me with much love and respect towards my boxing style, he motivates the team, including myself to push through the rigorous workouts we go through each day, along with his thoroughness upon teaching the techniques. I also had the pleasure of meeting Crew Joe who displays a stern yet comedic vibe to the class to keep it alive but working hard, his teachings on technique are tough with no sugarcoating if you don’t perform correctly which in my opinion is much needed when it comes to martial arts. Upon completeing my free week I can see Crew Gian & Crew Joes style of training is right up my ally, along with the other supporting advanced students that will help you polish whatever they see you may need help on, bottom line they treat you like family, doesn’t matter if you never threw a punch, or a kick or if you a different of previous martial arts experience, no one is left out. I’am proud to be apart of this family and I’m sticking with them till the end. More...

After both my husband & son joined 8 Venoms, our family dynamics has improved so much. We talk about what our son (7 y/o) learned, make him demonstrate, and take turns practicing. My husband was out of the gym /fitness scene for years, and was looking for something he could do with our son. After looking at several schools- he was so excited about 8 Venoms. After observing 1 class with the kids , i saw what the hype was about. After only 1 month my husband has dropped a few pounds, fitting into his old clothes & always shares with me what he’s learning from Joe, Gian & Grace. My son can now jump rope way better than day 1, and has surprised us in his enthusiasm for sparring & not giving up on Jiu-Jitsu. If you are really ready to learn & start something new, and grow in personal development and look forward to progress, this is it. The skills & strategies being taught here with this amount of passion & drive cannot be found elsewhere. Thanks so much, and also thanks to Shenelly & Hector for taking time to help with new students like my son with all your patience & understanding.
