I had the opporitunuty to do an amazing fitness photoshoot with both Micah and Ali Kvidt also the beautiful model Laura Hess! !! The facility itself was amazing in detail and felt safe. This venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding - Great location with a simple layout that allows every couple to set up for their wedding day any way their hearts desire! We cannot say enough good things about Alison and the staff at 514 Studios as well; Alison answered many of my late evening and early morning e-mails and text messages without hesitation - She had the answers for everything!
Receiving a wedding coordinator from MAVEN Floral and Events the month prior to the wedding was a HUGE bonus for my (now) husband and I, too. We rented 514 Studios for our wedding ceremony and reception. They were great to work with and the wedding coordinator was a huge help in making the day go according to plan. 514 let us choose all of our own vendors, we had the Rusty Taco food truck cater our event. Everyone commented on how the wedding was a reflection of us as a couple which was a big complement for us. The venue stayed cool during the ceremony but we were glad that we rented big floor fans for the reception. Once the garage door opens up, it's good to keep the air circulating. Loved the space!! It was very unfortunate we got married in the hottest day of the year - because it was VERY hot in the space - but not much you can do about that. Loved that we could choose all our own vendors and do as much DIY as we wanted, really made the day special and unique to us! When reflecting all thing we would have/could have done differently we both agreed that we would absolutely choose the same space and recommend it to others! Thank you 514! More...

Wedding space recommendation!! If you are wedding planning and looking for a venue, seriously, check out the 514 Studios space in the North Loop / Old Warehouse District area of Downtown Minneapolis. This space was WONDERFUL, not over the top, there is a cafe directly adjacent to the event space, plenty of street parking, an outside mingling, smoking, and sitting area just outside of the event space room. This space is a gem of Minneapolis.
I helped to organize my 20 year high school reunion here & all of our classmates were impressed with the space. There was a lot of opportunity to personalize the event to be exactly how we wanted & with what we could afford (no restrictions on vendors & a lot of flexibility).

I was responsible for a corporate event and it was important to me that it was in the North Loop. With the resurgence of the area there are lots of options but after touring it was obvious 514 Studios was the best choice. It is a "blank slate" which could be intimidating but they had all the connections I needed to create a warm, lively atmosphere. Alison was great to work with - she had tons of ideas and suggestions that really served my event well. I was slightly worried about guests and parking because not everyone is comfortable in downtown Minneapolis but it turned out to be a non-issue. Not one complaint! My first experience was on the phone with Lindsey on the phone, this went seamlessly easy. The days of my shoots I dealt with Wayne on location. ..again, awesome experience. The space itself is awesome and flooded with beautiful natural light.
As a photographer who has been shooting all over North America since 1990 you want things as they are stated and to deal with people who are easy to work with. I found both here at 514 Studio's!
So lucky to have found a great location and a great group of people to work with, will using them again for sure! More...

Such a beautiful space! Located conveniently in the North Loop and easy to get to and from. The lighting, food, and bar vendors knew the space and were to set up quickly and comfortably. 514 was the perfect space for our December 8th wedding. The reception area is a really cool “blank slate” that you can make whatever you want! They also provide a lot of useful help and support including vendor recommendations and Day of Coordination through MAVEN (which was absolutely essential)! The staff was professional, easy to work with, and responsive throughout the planning process. You can tell that they are experts in their field and have a lot of good relationships with vendors. We had 127 guests, and people raved about how the reception space seemed so intimate for the ceremony, yet large and open once it was flipped and made ready for dinner and dancing! It’s really a magical space. The “Green Room” was a perfect place for cocktail hour, with plenty of spaces for guests to sit or stand, as well as a beautiful plant wall we used as a photo backdrop. And the Bridal Suite was beautiful, large, and full of natural light, even on a cloudy December day! We highly recommend booking 514 for your wedding or other event! You won’t regret it. More...

My wife and I just got married at 514 last weekend! The venue and staff are so amazing and really made our day the best ever. Their flexibility and laid-back vibe was everything we were looking for in a wedding venue. They are also so inviting to the LGBT community which is extremely refreshing. We both felt so comfortable which was a big selling point for us. Anytime we wanted to come visit the venue just to see it or to test things out for the wedding, they were so accommodating and awesome about it. Also the bridal suite upstairs was a huge bonus.
