As the owner of Confetti & Lace, Leeds we love & recommend the magazine & the recent wedding fayre at Leeds Utd by 'I Do' was absolutely fantastic!
A huge amount of brides & grooms through - glad we took a double stand and extra staff for the day - we we're down to just a few leaflets by the end & the brides & grooms were local & not just 'out for the day' like some other fayres and venues which are more holiday destinations.
We had several scenes in the extremely well organised catwalks through the day and the crowds around watching were really engaged and we had a queue at our stands afterwards. We've already made sales, more than covered our costs and had a great show - would we do it again? In a heartbeat - Abbi X

This was not only White Taxi Weddings' first I DO show, but only our second ever wedding show as we're a new company. We had to do it as our office is literally around the corner! We're not in a position to make comparisons but we got a lot from this show, due to the ability of Richard and his team to get so many Brides through the door. I had four people on my little stand yesterday and they seriously struggled to keep up with the flow of brides coming through.
A good location made great by superb planning and front of house. Came away with 100 signups to my little business, promoted it to 500 brides (we ran out of stock by 2pm) and will do it next year because - it's a no-brainer. If you are seriously in the wedding business, you need to get booked in.
Worth every penny!

Running a cake business we can sometimes be selective in our wedding shows that we attend. We have been to a couple of IDO wedding shows in Sheffield and from the offset we were very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism shown by Richard and his team.
As soon as we knew IDo were exhibiting in Derby, there was no hesitation in booking our place at the show.
At every show they have never failed to attract brides through the door. We have to date ran out of samples and leaflets at every show and have always had great feedback, enquiries and bookings. It seems the more we take, the more we run out.
Each of their shows we have attended have always proved to be money well spent and would recommend the IDO Wedding shows to both suppliers and brides alike
Keep up the great work. Always a pleasure to attend your "Well Organised" shows. All the brides we spoke to at the Derby show (and there were a lot of them) have all passed great comments about the venue and show as a whole.
I forgot to mention, we have also already booked in for next years show in Derby

At the weekend one of our companies, Vintage Booth, exhibited at the I Do exhibition at Derby. From beginning to end the process has been smooth and easy to deal with, helped along by friendly customer service.
The option to set up the day before was great as it meant we could take a breather in the morning rather than rushing around as we usually do!
On the day we chatted to plenty of potential brides and grooms with a great emphasis on the quality of people coming to see us as well as the quantity.
All around we had a great time, we'll definitely be back :-)

Wow ! Cream Photography displayed at the Leeds show, a fabulous day, we met loads of fabulous brides to be and their families and loved hearing all about their plans. The I Do team were on hand all day if any help was needed or questions answered. This was Cream Photography's 1st I DO show and due to it's success, both in taking bookings on the day and the email contact received since, with additional appointments made to meet up with couples again, we have already booked a further two shows. We had a fabulous day today! We were invited down as guests by the fabulous - I Do Magazine (thanks for inviting us!). We had a lovely afternoon and were made to feel truly welcome. The event was a highly professional event and yet very warm and welcomming. We met up with Hatfeild Hall, a beautiful wedding venue, who were handing out there fabulous new brochure. Also we had a photo taken with Julie the owner of Photobooth4you which was great fun. Also Wedding fayres Yorkshire were there who we are exhibiting alongside at various wedding fayres this year. I also met the lovely ladies at Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel and KingsCroft hotel who we have styled weddings for in the past. We are very excited to be nominees in this years #idoweddingawards and hopefully we will be exhibiting at Elland Road next year, cheers to all the #weddingsuppliers who we met today! Two wedding fairs done with the I Do team, extremely successful ones for my business. For me, very well organised and communication second to none, especially with the extreme weather conditions at the last Doncaster show.
Yesterday myself and suppliers I work closely with organised a Wedfest Wedding Fayre and opted for the ‘50 package’ to help with the promotion of the fayre. Our event was on the website the day after registering and wonderfully promoted on social media. Special mention to the fabulous Natasha who made sure the goody bags and magazines were delivered conveniently and in advance of the event. All of this at an amazing price!
Our event was a massive success, goody bags gone within half an hour, 71 brides registered and I really think the success of our Wedfest will help with our future events.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Knowing your gear inside out so you can concentrate on the story being told in front of you is probably the biggest thing, and then once your camera feels like an extra limb you can get caught up in the moment and know that you will have captured every emotion.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Sugar?... Seriously though, I usually have a chat over a cup of tea and once the basics are out of the way, (the who, what , where and when) , Its then more about who the clients are, and what can I do to help them tell there story, the way they want it. No photographer can take a real honest portrait of a person, if they don't know who that person is on the inside.
What do you love most about your job?
When my clients get to see my work and there is that tear in their eye or a lump in their throat and you know you have done a good job has the be the best part but I just love meeting different people and finding out about the different stories we all have.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Folk kept saying 'you should be earning a living doing this' and eventually I was persuaded to photograph a friends wedding. I absolutely had a blast whilst doing it but I was so nervous about handing over the wedding album... but when she started crying, I did too! Such a brilliant feeling I just had to see if I could do it again and several weddings and events later here I am!
Why should our clients choose you?
I am probably the most laid relaxed photographer in West Yorkshire, but that doesn't mean I don't work hard to get fantastic images. You will find me lying on the grass, climbing trees and generally working my butt off to get whats in my head captured in camera. As one client put it "one moment its like your my long lost cousin, having a chat, the next your in charge of 120 guests rounding them up like a true professional"
I never have a pre-defined view of how something should be done, everything I do is to help my clients capture and tell their story, whether thats a Wedding, Christening, Family photo shoot or commercial work.
