225 Street Food brings big flavor at this food truck. It's one of my new favorite food trucks. I read reviews and browsed their site before the truck came and our menu was different than what I saw. They had it set up to build your own meal. First select tacos, sandwich, fries or wonton nachos. Then select your protein. Today it was chicken, beef, shrimp or mushroom. Then select your style. I forget the names but there was a jerk, Mexican, Asian, french and one other style. I like this concept and it's similar to another truck I like. I ordered tacos with chicken Asian Style. The Asian Style had a sweet sauce, pickled veggies, a siracha aloli and cilantro. One serving came with three very filling tacos. My co-workers also got Asian beef wonton nachos and Asian shrimp fries. I saw my friend's nachos first and I started to have regrets because it looked so good. Then I saw my tacos and was completely satisfied once I took a bite. The flavors were a perfect combination: savory and sweet chicken, a crisp slaw and fresh cilantro, spice and creaminess from the aloli, and the sour from the pickled veggies. I'm a fan. And the tacos are a good size. I could have stopped at two, but didn't. Service was quick and friendly. I hope they come near my work again. More...

Tasty food at 225! We had excellent food--I tried the Korean tacos & enjoyed the flavors. They did a different seasoning with cilantro than traditional Korean bbq but I liked the flavor of the three chicken tacos. The flavors were sort of Southwest meets Asian flavors. My friend had the asada burger and loved it, great sauce and special cheese curds from NC. We shared an order of seasoned fries, great spices and big enough for two. They're a food truck regularly that's trying out serving in 7th Street market only for a little while, so stop by soon. You can park in the 7th Street deck and get your parking validation too. More...

Starting at 3:30 (Uptown Yolk, which has taken over the former spot of Local Loaf, occupies this space during breakfast at lunch) the two owners serve up some of the best food in 7th street market. The Nashville Hot Fries are my go to (full pieces of fried chicken tossed in a blend of hot sauces over French fries and topped in pickles) and are second to none. Other than this, the wings are excellent (try the sriracha honey or classic heat). The menu also offers poutine fries, a poutine burger, tacos, and wonton nachos - all of which I'm eager to try. The only downside here is that they aren't open at lunch. More...

This place is such a surprising delight! The staff is amazingly friendly and personable. Rob and Anthony really know their craft and are very passionate about it as well. Their food is just as great! The first thing I had was the Nashville Hot Fries; the fries are deliciously seasoned and the accompaniments (chicken/pork, pickles, some type of ranch drizzle that really cools your taste buds down after eating the spicy food, and other delicious ingredients). My recent favorite is the teriyaki bowl with the pork belly! The pork belly has this delicious texture and a little bit of crunch that pairs well with the softness of the rice. What I really like as well is that they are very confident in their food. I was hesitant to get the Loaded Tostones (I usually don't eat tostones), Rob sensed the hesitation and assured me that I would like it. I did! It came with cabbage, curry chicken, beans, etc. Everything was perfectly balanced.I recommend everyone to try their food! More...

Came across this at 7th Street Market then have a temporary residence there in the afternoons. The menu definitely has all things street food. I got the grilled Shrimp Tacos, you get three. It has black beans, pico, and a lime based sauce. I was very please with the flavors of the tacos. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. I also got onion rings on the side. They are a very large portion for them to be a side. You definitely get you money worth here. Don't just take my word for it try it yourself. More...

Went to 7th Street Market tonight with a coworker with every intention of heading straight to Pure Pizza and going for my usual, the Hot Italian sandwich.  If you haven't had that yet it's awesome but this isn't a Pure Pizza review.  They weren't taking credit cards tonight, so I considered my options.  I could do an Açaí bowl but I'd rather die than eat that and however long that would extend my life, and I've had the other restaurants in 7SM quite a few times.  It was then that my coworker turned me on to 225 Street Food pop up kitchen and let me just say wow.   I went with what I believe was called the "Hot Nashville".  It was a fried chicken sandwich with pickles, ranch, buffalo sauce and some other amazing ingredients that I couldn't readily decipher.  Simply put, it was incredible.  The chicken was fried beautifully, the pickles had an amazing flavor and the sandwich was very hearty.  Chik Fil A, eat your heart out.  I paired that with the seasoned fries which were incredible.  Seasoned fries often have too little seasoning but not these.  Very well coated and fried perfectly.  The price came in right around $12-13 which is what I'd expect for anything uptown really.  Definitely worth it at this quality.
