I experienced the very quick onset of panic attacks & anxiety issues, something I never thought would happen to me. I really was at a crisis point & a colleague suggested Sue Lane.
As a sceptical person I wasn't sure how much, if any, this could help me. I had it in my mind I was only going for one session as I was convinced I would feel like this forever & nobody could help me. When I meet Sue she was extremely professional but offering me much compassion, she could see I was at boiling point. I was overthinking & worrying about everything. Sue taught me that I couldn't control everyone and their actions being there responsibility, not mine. At the height of my panic she gave me super advice on coping mechanisms & breathing patterns. I had sessions over a period of 6 months.
I went through a lot of life changing events in my early twenties continuing into my early thirties including near death experiences, bullying in the workplace & bereavement. These events started to bite back approaching my forties. I never thought after this long period of time that was the root cause of my panic & anxiety and surely counselling would be of no use to me. I only tried it as a last resort but I should of done it so much sooner.
After the counselling finished I could refer back & use the techniques. I am now in a much better place & so much more like my old self. I do owe a huge thank you to Sue.
