I live in an 80 year old house and in the spring of 2018 had the kitchen renovated by a “contractor” who neglected to insulate the exterior wall where the sink and dishwasher were installed. The dishwasher nearly froze up this January due to that, so I recently contacted EnviroTech Insulation to see if they could help. They arranged a site visit to see the extent of the problem and determined there were gaps to be caulked and cavities in the wall which should be filled with insulation. We retained Envirotech to re-insulate our attic. We had significant issues with half of our second floors - too cold in the winter (temperatures would drop to 15 C) and to high in the summer (temperatures would go as high up at 30 C). We had to install a wall heater for the winter and a portable A/C for the summer to try to fix the issue, but they'd be on all the time so that increased our electricity costs quite a bit. It also seemed like our central air was running all the time. Envirotech re-insulated our attic and added several vents as well, and we noticed the difference right away. I had my entire attic cleaned out and re-insulated and a bath fan installed and some electrical work. I was very impressed by how fast Mark got in touch every time I had a question. All the staff was very professional and focused, they did a great job. They took the time to explain any issues to me and fully abide by the quote provided. Mark was even able to coordinate with an HVAC team so that they could remove the old air handler stuck in the attic between insulation removal and install. We brought in Envirotech to install new attic insulation, and to insulate our garage. We also had their Electrical team in to install kitchen under-cupboard lighting, add electrical circuits to our garage, install LED dimmers, new bathroom exhaust fans, and similar small-but-needed jobs. Our initial meeting with Mark was friendly and professional, and he provided timely quotations for both the electrical and the insulation work. Communication throughout these projects was excellent.The electrical team came first, and spent two days completing various tasks. We are very happy with the work that Mark's team did for us in re-insulating our attic. When I called Mark he answered right away and booked an appointment for a quote. He arrived on time, was professional and very informative. Mark explained the differences in R-rating in insulation, pointing out how inefficient the insulation in our 18 year old home was, and quoted us on R60 with the addition of 25 vents for air flow. He was very accommodating and was able to book us in to have the work done before the holidays. Mark's team did an awesome job! After having an energy audit done because we were going to have our furnace replaced we were told that our current attic insulation was only rated for R20 but the code for new homes was now R60 so it was an obvious second upgrade on our 22-year-old home so that we could qualify for the Enbridge energy rebate, as well as increase the efficiency of our house. I came across this company when doing my research and since they had great reviews, and a no charge quote option, I thought I would give them a try. Mark, the owner, came out the same day I called them to give me the quote and fully explained what I needed and how much everything would cost. We decided to go ahead with the job and am glad we did as the crew that came were very good at what they do and even took the time to vacuum up after themselves, leaving no mess behind. From start to finish we were very pleased with all of the work and services provided by Mark and his team. We had a large variety of jobs done that included: installing a heavy duty box in the ceiling and installing a 52" inch fan, dimmer switches, GFCI receptacle, AFCI Breaker,
installing wiring, lights and switch in the hallway to our crawlspace and the installation of a conduit from the electrical panel along side the house to the front porch.
We appreciated the fact that they arrived on time as scheduled, and made sure everything was clean when the work was completed. They are very professional in the work that they do and I would recommend them to anyone.

This was the third or fourth time using Envirotech. Mark was prompt in providing an estimate and adhered to it when the project was done. His guys are always diligent to complete the job with as little mess and disruptions to the existing finished walls etc. They gave different options and scenarios to complete the work, along with a realistic timeline when the actual work areas were assessed. Envirotech uses an electronic quoting system so I had a price before Mark left my house. Aftrr accepting, a date was agreed upon. I called Mark and after speaking with a number of companies, Mark actually took the time to see what was needed for insulation of our knee wall and installing a fan in our washroom. The work was scheduled, his team arrived on time and were very efficient and clean. The best thing I heard was how his team praised Mark as a boss - Being in the HR field, I love hearing that and that made me feel that I was in the right hands. I am very pleased with the service we received from Mark and his crew. Mark explained the process and options beforehand and I had my quote the day he did his inspection and measurements. He was able to book a date around my work schedule. I asked if his crew could start a little earlier thank they normally start their work day and they were able to. Met Mark Connor at the Durham (Whitby) Home Show in April 2018 where we discussed home insulation issues. A home visit was arranged. Mark examined the attic of our 35 year old home, and offered several opinions and possible solutions to our chilly rooms problem this past winter. We agreed on the work to be done including a wiring issue with a bathroom ceiling fan. Within one week Mark's staff arrived to repair the wiring issue and have the minimal attic insulation brought up to R60 standards by blowing in a deep blanket of cellulose. I was looking for a contractor to improve the attic insulation for my 30-year old house. Mark and his company were highly recommended by my friend. I made an appointment with Mark for on-site assessment. He came on time. Mark entered to the attic to assess the existing insulation conditions and conducted necessary measurements. I quoted from 4 companies including a big "ConstXXX ComXXX" company who just promised to try their best to spray 8 bags of glass fiber. We felt strange.While Mark's company did it with 25 bags cellulose, and the bag is in the big size. I can't speak highly enough of Mark and his team. Our home is only 8 years old and we moved in about 3 years ago. Ever since we moved in we had issues with the temperature on our second floor especially in the summer time. We always had to set the thermostat to 19 degrees at night just to make the second floor comfortable. Mark came to investigate and found a few issues, 1 the new roof vents that our roofer installed were not cut out big enough for our new vents (contacted our roofer and he fixed the issue), 2 the Builder didn't install the proper amount of baffles that our roof required (Mark had to install an additional 24 baffles which helped circulate the air) 3 the builder only had about R30 and in very small area R40 worth of insulation. In some areas of the attic I only had about 5 or 6 inches of insulation. Mark provided pictures to show us. (Marks team came on site and upgraded our insulation to the R60 standard and provided before and after pictures). It is amazing how much of a difference this made to our home. The temperature is now even on all floors and we are sleeping like babies lol. I also noticed that our AC unit is not working as hard and as long as it used to. The temperature hardly changes when my thermostat goes into eco mode when we are out. I can't believe we didn't get this done sooner.
