Following total gear box failure last Sunday in the rain, Ian, from AVR was with us at the time and place arranged. He was most supportive and useful with his advice. Excellent service and such a helpful man. We found ourselves in our motorhome stuck on soft ground in Chartwell car park on the hottest bank holiday on record. We have 2 recovery policies via our bank and the motorhome insurance and both were useless because they don't class this as a breakdown. One insurance have me the number of a company that cost a fortune and couldn't come for 2 hours. The best thing that happened yesterday was finding this man. Speedy, affordable & super friendly! I could not recommend Ian more highly, my car broke down over and hour away from home when visiting a friend in hospital, I had just taken my friend to the shops and I needed to get him back. Ian dropped my friend off back at hospital and then came and diagnosed the problem with my car,unfortunately it wasn't a roadside fix, but he took me home for the same if not less then what a taxi would have cost!Asides from being incredibly knowledgable about cars (the wizard title is totally appropriate) and incredibly reasonably priced, he was just an incredibly lovely, interesting and inspirational guy to get to know in the meanwhile. Ian is absolutely fantastic. He answered the phone at 1am and came to rescue us after the clutch went, in the (expensive) short stay car park of Gatwick airport. He kept in contact with us as he came out to meet us and was so friendly and helpful, making lots of suggestions for getting the vehicle out of the car park and back to Staffordshire. He ended up giving me a driving lesson to safely drive the car without the clutch back home saving us hundreds of pounds. I simply cannot believe how lucky we were to call Ian in such a time of distress. I don’t plan on breaking down again but if I do, I’ll plan it somewhere near his neck of the woods!! Incredible service. I'd broken down on the M25 and just managed to get off at Godstone. Called the nearest recovery service on google maps and by luck happened upon these guys. Having broken down on the M25 with nearly 200 miles left of my journey to go, Ian came out and got me back up and running again within about 30 minutes.
