The team completed landscaping work for my front yard and back yard around mid-June 2022. The patio in the backyard looks nice.
However, there was heavy rain almost every day for the week after. The border along the patio block and gravel started separating. I immediately contacted Daryl about the issue. He has postponed coming to fix the issue that I contacted and followed up on the repair. The gap along the patio's and gravel's border is extended more than an inch. He did not show up to fix it. So, I need to purchase the pea gravel filling the gap along the borders of the patio before it causes more ground sinking around the building. And I need to refill the pea gravel more along the borders after the past winter. And I noticed more ground sinking around the corner of the back of the building. Now after rainy days this year. The ground around the back building sank more.
Now I have contacted other landscaping companies to see how to fix the issue. They said the grading in my backyard was not properly maintained by the trade who did the Patio and landscaping and that the water had flowed down to my building instead of flowing out of the building. Now I am waiting for the quote from the other trade to fix the grading and patio block, which have started separating along the joints.
The work was not done properly causing the damage to repair, which will be more expensive than starting a new work.

What do you love most about your job?
The satisfaction of turning a landscape that’s old and worn out to one that looks amazing. Also the reaction from the clients at the end of each project when it’s complete.
What inspired you to start your own business?
All of the compliments I received over the years from clients on the work I have done. All of the side jobs I have done over the years I have had many referrals and great references from which has tremendously helped grow my business into what it is today. I’m very proud of the landscapes I create and wanted them to be my own.
