Vancouver Home Care is a Canadian-owned company and has been operating for over ten years. We follow the standards of Accreditation Canada (the same organization who sets quality health care standards for Vancouver Coastal Health), and are one of Canada’s leading senior care companies. We provide private in-home care to allow seniors to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible, with our compassionate care and personalized services. We even offer foot care services. We are the only agency in Vancouver run by a Registered Dietitian (NP) / Nutritionist. In fact, Jocelyn Macdonald, our Managing Director, also has a Master in Health Administration from UBC.

Vancouver Home Care places a high priority on client and employee safety. In fact, we have a system that requires the caregiver to notify us by telephone when they arrive at and leave the client’s premises. We conduct a thorough screening process with each employee including background and business reference checks and provide comprehensive orientation training. Our employees carry photo ID badges and are supported 24/7 by supervisory staff. They have credentials from accredited programs (they are trained Health Care Assistants), with current CPR and First Aid certifications. They are all bonded and insured with reference, criminal, and vulnerable sector checks, and are personally introduced on the first visit. Caregivers are matched with client needs and provide a wide variety of services. We have specially trained staff for dementia care, disability assistance, palliative care and much more. The following is a short list of some of the many services we can provide:

• Light housekeeping, laundry, linen change
• Meal planning and preparation
• Companionship, shopping and errands
• Personal care and medication reminders
• Foot care services (nail cutting/filing, corn/callus care, treatment of skin, and foot massage)
• Assistance with daily living tasks
• Overnight/sleeping shifts and live-in (24-hour) care

$32.00 / hour
4 - 8 Hours of Care / Week:
$31.00 / hour
9 - 19 Hours of Care / Week:
$30.00 / hour
20 - 29 Hours of Care / Week:
$29.00 / hour
30+ Hours of Care / Week:
$28.00 / hour
12-Hour Overnight Care (sleeping shift):
$190 / night
Live-in Care: Two Caregivers (one does a 12-hour Overnight and one does an 8-hour day shift):
$380 / day
Individualized Foot Care at your Home or the Hospital by a Professional Licensed Nurse:
$80 / session (hour)

We offer complimentary, no-obligation consultations and can provide service for as little as three hours per week to as much as 24/7.
